This Febuary just gone I was lucky enough to jet off to NYC with my school. We stayed at a hotel just off of times square, it was a great hotel (considering it was 2 stars). Rooms: Although they weren't huge, they were just about the right size. With two double beds, a big cabinet with a TV in it, bedside table and a chair there was still room for 3 of us girls and our gigantic luggage! ...sleeping on a slab of concrete, I actually enjoyed sleeping in them and also they were very spacious so with me and my friend in there, there was still lots of room. Also you wouldn't have to be cold in that new york winter because I found the bedding was quite think. This Hotel is right around the corner from Times Square so is ideal for a Show fanatic and anyone who loves the buzz of a big City, 1) The outside is nothing to look at,but inside wow!! fantastic Arc deco furniture,mirrors,paintings,amazing bright colours ,the reception is staffed by around 5 friendly staff-so no problem checking in. 2) Has a small shop in foyer so you can get all those little things like,post cards,stamps,tacky souviners,papers,juice ...

I visited this hotel with my school in February 2007 and there was a group of 40 with 5 teachers. The group included boys and girls, there were very welcoming when we arrived after a long flight from England and getting up a 4.30. They allowed us up to our rooms, which where very spacious and comfortable. They had big double beds, which could have easily have fitted three people in. The bathroom was spacious and clean with lovley hot water for when ...
...long weary day. They provided us with big white fluffy towels to use after our bath and shower and layed out complimenatry gifts for us to use. ...the view as it was off a back of the street and became noisy in the morning with lorries delievering stuff. the rooms had really high ceiling with a cupboard with a tv for entertainment and lots of storage for unpackaging. the bathroom was very small , with basic sink, bath and toilet. unfortunately our lock on the bathroom was broken but staff fixed that asap. The edison hotel in time square is a good hotel overall. Starting with the location, I can't complain, It is a 20 second walk to the heart of times square and easy access to most places on manhattan. Inside the hotel, the reception area is quite good, very busy as it is New York but also because there is a diner connected to the hotel next to the reception, The lounge is tidy with comfy sofas but it is very small and no food or drink is allowed ...
...relax. The shop is good, sells nearly all kinds of souvenirs and sells I <3 NY tshirts for $10 and that's for four tshirts! The rooms are great, Very clean and friendly staff, Bathroom is great, marble and comes with shower gel etc. all the essentials, The beds are comfy except the sofa bed which is hard and you can feel the metal pole underneath which is disturbing through the night, The tv it good and has cable so you have lots of good channels. ...

The Hotel Edison is right in the heart of the Big Apple so first off, perfect location! I stayed on about the 4 floor - i was with a big group of people but 4 of us stayed in a room with 2 double beds, as shown in the one above and we had ample room; they are of a really good size. It is a little noisy seeing as you're right up and close to the action, but what do you expect when you're staying in the city that never sleeps!! All staff I came ...
...was always someone on the door. There is a 24 hour deli literally right next door to the Edison which became very useful for late night snacks and essentials! The Edison is great value for money, especially if you love being right in the centre of it all!! ...
