From a fuzzy, moldy salad to getting bumped from a confirmed flight, lied to about how they'd fix the situation, trapped in an airport for 20 hours with no concession for my lost time or money... Emirates did everything wrong. I'll never fly them again, and all my business partners will book on other airlines. SUCH a disappointment after hearing good things. Oh well... there are plenty of other airlines on the planet, eh? ...

Advantages: Excellent Service Disadvantages: More expensive than others
I have travelled with Emirates to Dubai, Sydney & Singapore on more than one occassion with Emirates and have always arrived at my destination in a good mood and ready for work.
Emirates are not a budget airline, but appear to pride themselves on having a superb quality of service. If I wanted to find cheaper flights I could do so with the likes of Singapore Airlines or one of the other middle east companies, but I find it more important to arrive ... ...occassion I have travelled with Emirates I have been treated courteously and even when I have wanted to change flights half way through a flight so I don't have to hang around for a connecting flight in Dubai, they have helped.
Food & Drink
If you like eastern food, you will love the food on this airline as it tastes fresh and full of flavour. I can't stand the taste of some airline meals, but I could eat this every day. I am not much of a drinker, ...

I have flown with Emirates airline on many occasions and have never had cause to complain. The planes are always clean and comfortable, the cabin crew are exeptionally polite and helpful and the drinks are free of charge and there for the asking. I've always got the impression of more leg room but don't have any statistics to confirm it. Advantages: None! Disadvantages: The list is endless!!
Cabin Appearance: Clean, extremely spacious so much so that you feel awkward! No amenity packs of any kind by the way for Business Class passengers even though it was an early morning flight and a measly Toothbrush would have helped.
Service at departure airport: Pathetic!!! Boarding was late with no exclusive arrangements for Business Class Passengers being informed about it or even given priority while boarding!!
Seats: Ok / Felt the Width of ... ...of chicken with rice inedible! Tasteless, Bland! My son didn't even touch his child meal due to its drabby and colorless appearance!!
In Flight Entertainment: Good but not great! Why do they have a huge collection of 2 hour movies for a 1.50 hour flight?? & only 3 short length TV show to choose from!! Pilot episodes of sooo many series could be made a part of the selection available for short haul flights.

...and recently I went by Emirates Airlines. I had a very pelasent experience with Emirates. With Emirates I went Jeddah to Dubai, and then to Dhaka. The flight leaving from Jeddah and landing in Dubai was on time, but it delayed an hour to take off from Dubai airport.
The plane (Boeing 777) seems better for me then other planes. But the interior of the emirate was not seems very high quality. Seats ware also congested. The foods were delicious. Air ... ...many channels, movies, songs coz Emirates provide seat-back Entertainment for all passengers. The screen is touch controlled, and provides a large collection of movies, songs, news, sport. One thing i enjoyed soo much was the sky map. Which shows where the plane is, when it will land etc. The sky cams which broadcast live pictures from two cameras - from the front and the below of the plane. From these sky cams u can watch the take off and landing.

...ankles swelled and were painful. Emirates did everything they could to get us fire escape seats for extra space and while it wasn't possible on the trip to Dubai, they guarenteed us the seats from Dubai to back home. On the way to Dubai, his ankles got worse, and after speaking to cabin staff on landing, we were escorted to a lounge with Playstations and sweets for unaccompanied children, and he was taken to the medical area and given medication ...

...had an interesting experience of Emirates as my flight was split in two: the first leg went UK to Dubai and was fantastic. The plane was brand new with more leg room than I knew what to do with and friendly and attentive cabin crew. The slight lack in quality of the food food was made up in the quantity as I was allowed to have two meals to make up for them running out of my prefered choiced and I was given a couple of extra bread rolls too. The ... ...very happy.
On the whole, Emirates is not a bad airline, it is one of the better ones I've flown with, but it does have a very good reputation which I feel it did not quite live up too on the less popular route but stick to well flown routes and you're likely to come off smiling- especially from the price which was a good ₤100 less than the next cheapest airline. ...

I had heard of Emirates and was told it was one of the best airlines, I booked flights for Male in the Maldives on line direct which was very easy quick and the staff were very helpful.
I joined the skywards which is like airmiles and is for Emirates and air lanka they award you with upgrades and alot more.
Check in was smooth no queues and they had my reservation for seats on the computer.
I changed the return flight details at the airport again ... ...board the seats were very spacious alot of leg room and very comfortable for a plane, the amount of films were unbelievable well over a hundred from new releases to classics childrens films news sport the list is endless, the tvs are on backs of seats, the films start when you want to watch them, one of the highlights for me was the cameras under and infront of the plane which shows the views from these areas.

I flew emirates from manchester to perth via Dubai. the whole experience was wonderful.The crew were very obliging and couldn't do enough for you You were greeted just before take-off with hot towels which were very welcome after travelling.The crew were for ever coming round with cool drinks ,you received a snack on boarding and fruit or chocolate was readily available.The main meal was delicious with melon and then salad beforehand followed by ... ...had with built in foot massagers on the footrests .The forward and below cameras were unique and very interesting to watch ,you could also follow the flight path on a map showing height,speed and time to your destination.All in all a wonderful experience and I would definitely travel emirates again ...

Emirates airlines are certainly an airline that is going places,inmore ways than one. The big advantages of emirates are (1) there hub, Dubai is perfectaly placed as a world hub (though not as a USA stepping of place) This alows emirates to streamline there routes by using Dubai as changing stop. You want to go London to Hong Kong, Manila, Thiland, india, then you go on the standard flight to Dubai from london then change to the standard flight to ... ...Dubai. The aircraft configerations on Emirates are also a step up, there recent Airbus 340 planes came to them over £1,000,000 more expencive than to some other airlines because they wanted a better spec. Ive flown , 1st, Business, and coach with them and all are better than average. !st and business anre very good, The airport lounges in Dubai are large offer hot food and are well placed although they are over used and its begining to show. Advantages: NONE - worst airline I ever flew Disadvantages: No assistance or seating for handicapped. Public Humiliation
My husband and I flew Emirates recently and it was horrible. My husband is handicapped nd required assistance to the aircraft. We also requested bulkhead seat for him (both BA and American Airlines reserve these seats for the handicap by law). Emirates computer system does not allow this. So we arrived at the airport 3 hours early to get a bulkhead seat - we were the first passengers in line for our flight. Again the computer system did not allow ... ...checked in after us.
Emirates refused to reserve a bulkhead seat for my wheel chair bound husband on the return flight (the computer again!!). We agreed to upgrade my husband to Business Class. The airport staff initially refused to allow us on the flight because I was not in the same class. We were publicly humiliated. Emirates Customer service responded to our complaint with 'this is our policy'!!! Wow! ...

Emirates airline fleet is old and encounter many delays. I have flown Emirates airlines for the past 16 years and notice them deteriorating in service and fleet renewal year after year. I fly business class all the time and the food menu hasn't changed for the past 10 years. The entertainment in most planes is outdated with old technology and old (deteriorating quality) LCD screen.
