Espionage, an insiders opinion

Advantages: Free entry, choice of music on different floors
Disadvantages: Can get very busy

I've worked in Espionage for a few months now and am ready to enlighten you all about probably one of the best clubs in Edinburgh. Espionage is situated on Victoria Street but can also be accessed from the Cowgate. It is on 5 levels with 5 bars and 4 (apparently) different themes of music and drinks. When you enter from Victoria Street you will find yourself in The Lizard Lounge, this is on the top two levels. The upper level has a bar close to ...
...for the essential details. Espionage opens at 7pm until 3am 7 days a week. During the festival and over christmas and new year the opening is extended until 5am. Entry is free at all times. Dress code is smart, i.e. no trainers, tracksuit bottoms or baseball caps. Drinks are served right up til closing time which I find to be a huge benefit considering most of the clubs in Edinburgh won't serve you after 2.30am. Drinks are priced at around £2.80 ...

007 eat your heart out

Advantages: good size, nice drinks
Disadvantages: busy busy busy

...One more rule of espionage is get there as early as you can. I am talking 4-7pm if you want to get a seat anywhere. After 10pm any night you can hardly move around it is so busy. Personally i think this is a fire hazard as if there was a fire most people would be crushed or burn. Drinks - they do a really good james bond themed shooters menu, £2.50 per shooter. I would recommend scaramanga, teehee, miss moneypenny and octopussy. Party bowls are ...
...my chair. Times - espionage is open from 4pm-3am every day, although durung the festival it is open 3pm till 5am. It is free to get in but the drinks are not cheap, altough not particularly expensive for a posh club. TOP TIPS Just to recap, i will list my top tips for a decent night at espionage. 1. Enter via the back entrance. this way you start off on a good floor without having to squeeze down 3 other floors to get there. 2. Drink lots of ...

One of Edinburgh's bigger clubs

Advantages: Free entry
Disadvantages: drinks are pricey

Its free entry to this bar/club but they make up for this with the price of drinks. The clubs has 5 floors the top three are more the type of bar atmosphere, the 4th is dance and the bottom is R&B. Good for even a works night out as you can chat and relax on the top three floors before then you can head down to the other 2 floors for a dance later. Saves moving from pub to club. If you have a hard time getting in the top floor there's always the ...
...bottom floor. To be honest your probably better using this entrance anyway as the cloakroom is on the next floor up. It is always packed I love the R&B floor myself as the dance one gets too cramped. Really nicely decorated. Toilets are really nicely decorated and kept clean. But girls watch out there can be some really sleezy characters but apart from that an amazing night out. ...
