    Advantages Advantages Air 2000 cabin crew put you very at ease

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Didn't have so much confidence in the rep - we knew more than her by the end!

    I have recently come back from Salou in Costa Dorada (a wonderful place for a holiday, but that's for another review...!) with First Choice. I don't quite know who we booked it through as we went to Thomas Cook which is where we first found out about it (the holiday was with Sunstart, one of First Choice's subsidiaries). However I have a credit card with Barclaycard and they were doing a percentage off of certain hoidays, and fortunately this was one of them.     Oh dear. While in my local town centre today I thought I'd pick up a few travel brochures to take home and gently browse through at my leisure. This was all I intended to do as I do not yet have a destination in mind having only returned from Montreal a month ago and finances and health not yet permitting another holiday in the near future. However, I forgot, on my brain-fuddled wander around the shops to go to most of the travel agents within the town centre.     Hello everybody, just got back a few hours ago from Tenerife. Oh yes I'm sad writing an op straightaway. I have missed all my friends from ciao. Hey my photo has appeared eventually. Don't let it put you off though. Anyway down to the point. This time the tour company we used was First Choice, no major complaints , but a few little moans along the way. After boarding the plane we got belted up ready for the journey.     We used First Choice for an all inclusive holiday to Turkey in May 2007. The price was unbeatable and the website was easy to use. TELEPHONE COMMUNICATIONS I found them polite to talk to on the phone; however, they seemed a little rushed on occasions to get me off the phone due to them being busy but they were always very helpful when dealing with enquiries and I did not have any problems with misinformation etc. OUTBOUND FLIGHT Check in was quick and efficient.     Booked a family holiday to Florida with First Choice for June 2006. First and foremost, the service in the agency at Bristol Galleries was excellent. I had a pretty good idea as to what I wanted and how much I was prepared to pay (the internet is a wonderful thing) , but they were very patient with my questions and came up with some great suggestions - some of which actually saved me money. Can't fault them. The night before check in at Gatwick is great in terms of not taking your luggage across and queuing in the morning.     I have used first choice as my tour operator several times. Having travelled with them to such places as Majorca, mainland Spain, Greece and turkey for my annual two-week holiday with my family. Their holiday brochures are well illustrated and prices are very competitive. On arrival to our destination airport, the reps are always well dressed and helpful. First choice welcome meetings are full of fun, and very informative. Although their tours and events are recommended by them, you are not pressured into anything.     My wife and I used First Choice in May 1998. At the time, we had a 4 year old daughter and my wife was 6 months pregnant. We had selected to go to Salou, to stay at the Hotel Venecia Park on all inclusive basis, due mainly to the fact that it was all inclusive (this was the first time we had gone abroad since our honeymoon in St Lucia, which also was all inclusive) and it had a kids club. Our troubles started on arrival at the Hotel. We arrived at around 10.45pm and then had to wait around 60 minutes to check in.     I travelled for the first and last time with First Choice this year. I booked a last minute h/board for a week in Majorca. My boyfriend gets told when to take holidays and only gets a few days notice, so we always end up on last minute bookings. When we arrived in Majorca we went to the desk and she said your taxi is waiting over there. I immediately knew there was something wrong, a taxi..how come nobody else.. I said I specifically booked a young and lively destination, how come we are the only ones taking a taxi. She said oh, dont worry where you are going is lively, not as lively as ... more

    We travelled with first choice as a family to the Grand kaptan hotel in Alanya, Turkey. The holiday was booked through Lunn Poly. Prior to departure, our flight details were changed three times. However, despite our initial worries, this caused us very little inconvenience. In fact the actual flight itself was excellent and at a reasonable time. The change in return flight actually gave us an extra day in the resort. Upon arrival we were met by the reps who were easy to find, unlike previous experiences with other tour operators.     AFTER BEING CONNED BY A PARTICULAR TRAVEL COMPANY, I CAME ACROSS FIRST CHOICE, AND BOOKED THE FAMILY HOLIDAY THROUGH THEM. THEY WERE EFFICIENT, FRIENDLY AND FOUND ME A REALLY GOOD LAST MINUTE DEAL FOR MY FAMILY OFFERING A BIG DISCOUNT FOR THE CHILDREN.
