This year was the first time that i had ever booked a holiday with first choice. We booked a last minute deal to Kavos, in Corfu, Greece. I have used first choice several times when I have been abroad, I used them to go to Florida, turkey, Greece, and we are also booked to go with them this year, which, after this year I will not be using them again. Although they are competitive in price and there flights have more leg room (which they do), and all there staff are always smartly dressed and well spoken, they are only offering 15KG luggage allowance as standard. Myself and my party of 5 booked a skiing holiday to Tigne through First Choice at beginning of Oct 07 & paid a deposit. Over 6 weeks later we were advised by letter that the company had a computer problem which meant our holiday could not be honoured. They told us we were given an alternative at a different hotel at a completely diferent resort. The company tried to charge our party an additional £1,500 for another hotel in Tigne and were unwilling to do anything to resolve the matter. The end result was "go where we tell you or cancel". First Choice don't honour their promise of lowest price guaranteed. In January I booked a 2 week holiday to Florida in the summer for myself and my two sons through First Choice online during their "January Sale". Yesterday they were advertising EXACTLY the same holiday for £307 less. I emailed them saying this was unfair and basically penalising their customers for booking early only to be told "tough luck." I could maybe understand a reduction in prices if it was a few days before departure but not with over 6 months still to go. What appalling customer service and a real deterrent to booking early or even with First Choice ever again. ...
