Having treated my husband to tickets for WWE's Monday Night Raw Live at Manchester Evening News Arena (MENA), it came about that I'd also have to book accomodation as we didn't want to drive back late at night. After a great experience of Travelodge in Oxford, I decided that, as we were only staying one night in Manchester, a Travelodge was ideal.
I booked our room thorugh the Travelodge website, there was a choice of 3 hotels in and around Manchester ... ...at a rate of £50 per room, per night, I decided to book a double, non smoking room. Using the web booking was easy and no payment needed to be taken at the time of booking, a credit or debit card number plus personal details and a home address was all that was needed to secure a booking. Advantages: Good location,cheap price,clean Disadvantages: nothing really
As a fairly regular customer of Travelodge,i stayed here with my partner in January and the room cost us £26 per night for a family room which was very good value for money. Of course i had to book this 14 days online but for this price,it represented great value for money. The hotel itself is called Manchester Central which is sort of deceiving really because it is actually in Salford which is not part of Manchester since it is a seperate council ... ...from Market street and the Arndale Shopping centre. Manchester Piccadilly station is about a 15 minute walk which isn't too bad at all-especially sicne Manchester is quite a flat city with few hills. The room itself was pretty good as it was very large and had lots of room. Yes it is a family room but i've been in family rooms which were a lot smaller than this one,i mean you could easily fit another double bed in that room!!. The room was clean ...
