I used to go to Frankfurt am Main all the time when I lived in Germany and it is the ugliest city I have been to. However, it does have its uses. The nicest area of Frankfurt's aross the river from the main commercial area - a place called Sachsenhausen. This is where the museums are, for the most part, and it's great at night. I was visiting Frankfurt during Easters. It was an interesting experience visiting German without knowing any German. We checked into a 4 star hotel but was surprised by the rude service offered at the receptionist. Imagine a 4 star hotel doing this and it is at Frankfurt! I really can't believe my eyes. The rest of the day was fine, we has an enjoyable time in the city. No incidents happen until when we try to check our luggage into the airport. ...
