Advantages: Good fun, exercise, meeting friends Disadvantages: I keep missing the blasted things!
My partner and I have recently become members of or local ten-pin bowling alley so I though I would write an opinion on it to let you all know how good it is!
The alley in question is G. T. Leisure Bowl, which is in Bloxwich in the West Midlands. There are twenty-one computerised bowling lanes each complete with a console through which to input the details of your players’ names for the scoresheet. Your score is the total number of pins you knock down with a maximum of two balls. If you manage to knock them all down with one ball this is called a strike and it means that the next two balls count double. Advantages: Good prices, spacious and bright, very good staff Disadvantages: Cheap food
...alleys around the country and G.T. Leisure Bowl still remains my favourite.
It feels quite welcoming, the location of the bowling lanes has a bright and spacious feel unlike some places where you feel closed in and unable to move.
I find the staff are very helpful and often keep a close watch on what is happening on the lanes, on one of my recent visits i hit a strike but the computer did not register it, before i could say anything a member of ... ...my opinion is great customer service.
There is a food hall should you feel hungry, they have a good range including childrens meals, the prices are cheap but don't expect anything of great quality, in this case you do pay for what you get.
Having the option of pressing a button on your console to order food and drinks without leaving your game is always an advantage.
The bowling prices are very good, if i remember rightly i paid £7.50 for 3 games ...
