For years Hong Kong has been a hugely popular holiday destination for western tourists and I finally had the opportunity to travel there in April 2004. This wasn't going to be my first time in Hong Kong as I had been when I was around 8 years old. I have just come back from Hong Kong. I travelled out to Asia with work, starting in Tokyo, then onto Hong Kong for two weekends in between spending my working week in China. I'm sure this will sound very negative and people will strongly disagree with me, but I was not impressed with Hong Kong. I've only been to Hong Kong thrice in my life (only?!) but the most memorable time was the November of 2001. This was due to a few factors such as i was 18 at the time (the last times I went I was 9 and then again when I was 11) and I went predominantly for my cousin's wedding.
