An original Andy Warhol - of the Campbell's Soup-can variety - hangs from the high-ceilinged lobby, and walls are hung with art almost everywhere, including guestrooms. Guests can check e-mail at two coin-fed Internet kiosks in the lobby. Discounted parking is available three blocks away. This New York hotel has 150 guestrooms in a 13-story building, which includes private rooms and dorm-style rooms with bunk beds. Decor in the private guestrooms includes hardwood floors, brightly painted walls, and colorful pop, modern, or post-modern art. All rooms provide wireless Internet access (surcharge). Additional amenities in private rooms include cable TV, safes, irons and ironing boards, and hair dryers. Please note that the dormitory-style rooms at this hotel contain 10 bunk beds per room and have one shared bathroom each. These dorm rooms do not include the amenities listed below (cable TV, etc.).

Advantages: clean, friendly, interesting, comfortable
Disadvantages: some rooms are basic

...your whle checking out the Gershwin Hotel. Located on East 27th street Manhatten, you can't miss it. It's bright red with large white lanternish sculptures protruding out of it. The area that the hotel is located is Tin pan Alley, the are where much of the music of the 30's and 40's was developed, hense the name gershwin. This hotel offers something a bit different.
