Getting around in Lisbon

When we arrived at Lisbon Airport we had done our research on Transfer to the City. The best option as it turned out was the AEROBUS AEROSHUTTLE Bus. The Stop is just outside the Arrivals Door, just across the taxi ranks you will see several Bus Stops, you want the AEROBUS one. You buy your ticket on board from the Driver, change is given , the price is 3 Euros 50 Cents, correct money helps and is appriciated. We visited Lisbon in June 2006. The metro is really easy to negotiate, just four lines (red, yellow, blue and green). We bought "day tickets" from the booth at our local station (as recommended by the hotel receptionist) for around 3 Eur for one days unlimited travel. The ticket was rechargable, so the next day we took the same ticket back and paid for our travel for the rest of our stay. I visited Lisbon with my boyfriend in June 2005 and we loved it. We used pretty much every transport option available and found it very easy to explore the city. The underground system was bright and easy to navigate with air conditioning, good signage and modern stations and trains. Some stations had flat screen TVs showing music videos. We hired a car with Budget cars and this was no bother at all.
