Advantages: the cakes Disadvantages: waitress a bit cold
When I was in Inverness recently I wanted to find somewhere to have a lunch for a reasonable price in nice relaxed surroundings without going to a chain restaurant but it is not always easy to find somewhere to eat in a city you are not familiar with. Luckily my friend had eaten in Girvans once before and said it was good so we headed there under her direction, it is a restaurant and patisserie in Stephens Brae just a few minutes walk from the railway ... ...We were greeted by a French waitress after a while of waiting round by the door and shown to a table, Girvans is nicely decorated with funky coloured walls and wooden tables and chairs making it feel modern, homely and welcoming. I noticed there were high chairs available so kids are obviously welcome but we were the only people with kids with us that day, I would say the atmosphere is more grown up than child orientated but providing your kids are ...
