We booked our holiday through Going Places to the beautiful town of Sorrento in Italy! The travel rep Frankie was fabulous!
She took us on a walking tour of the town as part of our welcome, showing us interesting places to return to later. Good places to eat, drink and shop.
The staff in the President were second to none - extremely courteous, pleasant and helpful.
the food was fantastic - I had a different Italian meal every night , well presented and delicious.

...send me to the other going places store down the other end of town because they couldnt find a particular brochure. that client left with impatience because it took the other going places HALF AN HOUR to find!! and she came down herself to get the brochure.
they're not as enthustic and helpful as you might think, they taught me 'the face'. to make yourself look happy and interested when really they couldnt be arsed.
They asked me to ring a client ... ...they specifically gave me his mobile number as they were a surprise for his wife. and guess wot!? they gave me the wrong number!! i had to fobb it off. so unorganised.
oh which reminds me!!
how many lost files can one little travel agents have? while sorting out thier filing cabinets as they were 'too busy' playing on thier computers i found at least 3 missing enquiries. that must be so much hassle for the buyers of that holiday. i imagine they ...

...high street presence of the Going Places their online presence is a great disappointment. Although the travel market it growing, so is the move to online booking which puts Going Places in a difficult position. Wanting to find a high street name I could trust I searched for Going Places, when I did eventually find the web site it was basically one page with details of a phone number to ring. I, probably like everyone else in this country hates waiting ... ...in the future then a strong online presence is essential, if only for people to search for availability of holidays and not using up phone lines asking if it is free or not.
I wouldn’t recommend a trip to the Going Places web site, it really isn’t going places. ...

Out of 100 I rated this travel agent at 46.
This agency was bright and spacious and there was a relaxed atmosphere. I was greeted immediately and a consultant invited me to take a seat. I explained what I was looking for and she selected a brochure on Brazil.
The agent did not attempt to check availability, but instead informed me about the area. She seemed very knowledgeable and had been to the country herself.
The clerk used a brochure, but ...

just like to say that it's all down to the individual. I visited to different branches only to find that one branch was more pleasant and helpful. The first branch wasn't exactly what you would call keen on helping the customer find the best deal - more the case of get out of here asap!! The individual attitude of the adviser is what counts the most - no matter how much training is given its all down to the person in the end!! so if one person is ...

Going Places have at least one shop in most towns and cities in the United Kingdom. They have special deals of package tours and flights plastered on thier windows . They also have bureau to change facilities advertised in their windows. On going in to the shop after experencing a small wait you are served by a friendly assistant. these assistants do not know everything but the ones I have encoutered found out everything we needed to know. Most of ... ...cheerful. All futer queries on our holiday were answered well and the tickets and details all sent correctly and on time I have experienced no problems that were not sorted quickly. In My opinion If you are looking for a cheap holiday going places is the place to go. ...

...to book and went to Going Places were we showed them what Thomson were offering and simple asked if they beat it.
We were quite surprised to here that not only could they beat
it but they had to!! the to holidays were £1249 and £1045 for two and we got a upgrade to a lovly 4 star hotel for £10 each so all in
all £200 pounds saved for walking up the road (2 minutes) and being
a little cheeky we may try it the other way round next time.

...partner and I walked into Going places in Tunbridgewells expecting to get
knowledgeable help with placing our booking . The first problem was that our advisor had only just joined the
company so did not know what to, do this expanded into a major saga as once the decisions had been made we found
that their was no direct link on the computer. So here we go telephone Haven , oh dear another trainee, three hours
later we get the same conclusion ... ...the experts! making no
difference at all. Recently we went in to pay the balance for our break expecting not to be long ,upon entering the
shop their were three agents working so we waited, but as one finished at ten to twelve she immediately left the
building leaving only two agents .the exercise to pay money took five minutes after fifty minutes waiting what I call
very poor service ...
