The Golden Coast Holiday Park is the largest of four holiday parks situated in Woolacombe, North Devon, within easy reach of Woolacombe, Barnstaple, Ilfracombe and Bideford and is open all year round. ...5 day break at the Golden coast park, Woolacome we went along expecting not a great deal after the reviews on here. When we arrived at the place, unfortunately we had been allocated a caravan which was not to the higgest of standards and certainly not somewhere I wanted to spend my time in (my advice would be to upgrade in advance), never the less we were more then happy to pay the extra and upgrade after all we had only paid about £67.00 for the ...
...went back to reception and very politely asked if there was a possibilty of upgrading, we were advised we could upgrade for £62.00 to a lodge which we looked round before commiting to, as soon as i walked though the door i could tell it was a world away to the caravan we d just looked at i think there was a few other s doing this too as a few more moved in to the surrounding one s after us and told us there were originally allocated a caravan. We have just returned from a weeks holiday at the Golden Coast holiday park in Woolacombe. We stayed in the Mimosa Special villa which can accomodate 8 people for £1050. The accomodation was the worst we have ever stayed in (damp bedrooms and bedding, filthy carpets and disgustingly dirty settee to name but a few). There was insufficient crockery for the 7 of us and had to purchase baking trays etc as there were none provided. Although some of the smaller bungalows looked cleaner and more modern than the house we were staying in, I certainly would not recommend the site to friends and family. This is a shame as the facilities on the park were very good for the children. ...

we had a very bad experience, when we arrived we had paid for bedding but had none waiting for us,we had no heating and the caravan was dirty , we had dead flys on the floor [ we counted 8] the carpet was very dirty and the grill still had crums in when we told reseption they siad the cleaner would come and clean up but that never happend. i paid full price and felt very let down wont be going back again good luck to anyone that visits this park ! ...
