just got back from holiday from hell. 24th to 1st oct 2008. it was booked with goldtrail, a family of 7 stayed in a hotel called etap altinel, its was nitemare the bed they gave to my brother was awfull it had a rip in the matress and full of urine stains the rooms were falling to pieces the bathtub painting was all falling off the air conditionning was leeking water which could be very dangerous the bedding was unwashed and was uncomfortable the ...

We had to cope with the language barrier at both the hospital and the hotel whilst trying to nurse our son and also a hotel Dr (who should be ashamed to call himself a Dr) who we later discovered is charging the earth to tourists for things as simple as a bandage when they slip (which happens on a daily basis) round the pool area. I booked a holiday to bodrum, turkey. through bluesea traval. i asked for a five star all inclusive. i spesifide that i did not want sun rating,nor five bananas must be star. on arrival to our horror we had a 4 hour transfur to the hotel that drive was an experiance cooped up in a tiny mini bus and a mad driver. on arrival at the hotel quickly relaising this was not what we payed for the room was dirty only the sheets had been changed. got to ...

I have just come back from marmaris, turkey. I was there when all the bombs went off, one just outside the hotel. the staff could not have been nicer. They kept us up to date on what was happening. Lindsey, the British girl there was fantasic. she walked us to our bus and helped us in every way. All the guys that worked there, from beach boy, who was forever giving us drink after drink. To George (Yilmaz) and Osman behind the bar watching us slowly ...
...and the ever so hot Eser, who laughed at us instead of with us at nearly ever moment. We also couldnt forget the manager Ali playing pool with us till 4am then having to get up at 7am to start breakfast. The hotel staff were also very friendly and very sweet. even if they spoke broken english they made our stay one of the best holidays i have ever been on. even the guy on night reception who started two days into out holiday after 3 girls quit. This is the worst hotel that I have ever had the misfortune to be sent to. The rooms and the beds were all damp and I suffered a respiratary infection whilst there . We changed rooms 4 times but they were all bad. There was no entertainment and the surly staff tolerated us as opposed to welcoming us. Half the Hotel was closed and obviously had been for a long time as there were dead frogs in the slimey pool.GoldTrail should compensate us fully and ...
...only things to be complimented on this holiday was Onur Airlines. They were really good despite a short delay on the out going leg. The plane was a huge Airbus 300 and the staff and the food was really very good and served with a smile. As I say, the highlight of the holiday! ...

Hotel Etap Altinel in Bodrum booked this holiday through Co-op Travel. We flew to Dalaman airport on Onair aircraft-- I've had better landings at Belfast airport... when we arrived in Dalaman Airport we found that we had another four hour drive to our hotel in Bodrum. Upon arriving at the hotel, at 4.30 Turkish time we were allotted our rooms. We found two tiny beds, no aircondition working water on the floor of the bathroom, no proper shower ...
...appeared to burn waste food and well as other rubbish. In the morning we complained to reception concerning our room and we were allocated another one. This appeared to be slightly better, shower and air-con worked, no smell. THEN we checked the mattress....springs sticking out of the sides and was very stained. MARMARIS BEACH HOTEL - JULY 2007 We didn't book through Gold-trail, but I felt I should write a review on Marmaris Beach Hotel. This hotel is fantastic value for money and right on the beach. The rooms are kept clean and towels are changed regularly (not every day though). We had a sea-view from our balcony, which we didn't expect since our holiday was so cheap. I read some bad reviews on breakfast - it wasn't much; just bread, egg, ham, tomoato ...
...and the last thing I fancied in 40 degree heat was a fry-up. If I had one thing to complain about it would be the air conditioning - it was £20 per week and went up to £30. It automatically switches itself off when you open the door to the balcony, which is really annoying if you just want to nip out there to grab a towel or something. It also means you can't keep the room cool when you're sitting on the balcony. THE RESORT - Marmaris has changed ...
