When we set off for a week’s holiday to Turkey in the Grand Cettia Hotel, there was no way that we could have foreseen what was about to happen. Instead of staying for the seven nights that we had booked, we found ourselves staying for twelve nights because of the Iceland volcanic ash, and I have to say that there are plenty of worse places that we could have been stranded in!
