With the train and bus stations and a multi storey car park next door, the transport links are very good. With prices from £6 to £23 the prices are affordable. Yes the top prices are on the expensive side, but you do have to pay for high production values. I gather 83,000 people go to this panto every year, so it must be worth a visit. It has something for kida and adults alike and the venue is very family friendly, and the staff are great. ...

Advantages: Friendly staff, beautiful surroundings Disadvantages: Seats a bit low
I'm writing in response to a previous post "Disappointed By Offensive Comments At Pantomime". This is one of the most ridiculous reviews I've ever read. I went to Cinderella the previous week with my mum and boyfriend and we all had a great night. May McFetteridge was excellent, he/she really made the show. The joke she made about the Waterfront was clearly that - a joke! The night we went everyone found it hilarious. I am 100% confident everyone ...

Advantages: Central, good variety of shows Disadvantages: Bar is a little pricey
The Grand Opera House is a beautiful, old theatre, but with modern facilties & a great mix of shows to suit every taste, all year round. It's centrally situated in the city, and the nearby box office makes ticket purchasing easy.
I have seen a range of shows here over the years, and have been rarely disappointed. I particularly rate the number, variety and quality of musicals performed in the venue, but there are shows to suit everyone, from pantomimes ... ...reasonable priced, with student & group discounts available. There are two attractive bars, where the cast of the shows often mingle with the public after the performances. The architecture of the place itslef is beautiful and authentically preserved, unlike the coldness of some modern venues.
It's really a great night ou, so if you find yourself in the city, give it a look! ...
