Advantages: scenic setting, great bar Disadvantages: difficult location by public transit
...in the rooms of the Granville Island Hotel, so do not observe the ratings below as a reflection of the rooms. I have eaten in their bar, and I know the area well, so I am writing this review to help potential visitors who do not know the city of Vancouver.
THE NEIGHBORHOOD: Quaint Granville Island has a massive public market where produce and prepared foods are available en masse. There is a thriving local theatre community in the summertime, and ... ...Vancouver.
THE DRAWBACKS: Granville Island is not easily accessible by public transport. There is a parking lot at the hotel, so for people who are happy to rent a car, this isn't a problem. OVERALL: A place I could well end up staying one time. (I will certainly amend this review if I do!) I wouldn't stay there in winter, because the community is most alive in the summer. ...
