Near Death Experience

Advantages: Not many - it has rides that don't kill.
Disadvantages: But they come close

...this is the review of Gullivers in Warrington - not Milton Keynes or Matlock. This is going to be one of those reviews where I'm going to be squeezing every last bit from my memory and failing. It wasn't long since I last went . last summer I think but as I sit here I struggle to remember the finer points. There may not have been any. It's possible. Likely. Well, certain. The thing is that this, my wife decided, was to be a birthday treat for me. ...
...Getting there ----------------- Gullivers World is sort of near Warrington in the way that Reading is sort of near London. If you head for Warrington, you'll find the signs but still have to go nowhere near it to get to your final destination. That said, it was easy to find and you'll get there from North or South on the M6. The cost ------------ First moan. Kids £11, Adults £11, Children under 90cm - free. Fine if you can go on every ride, ...

Gullivers World Theme Park (Warrington)

Advantages: Great day out for kids age 5 - 11, fun for adults too!
Disadvantages: Restaurant prices for meals are expensive

...already we decided to try Gullivers World in Warrington, which is roughly 25 minutes away from where we live, we set off early (about 9:15am, the park opens at 10:30 am) so thought we had plenty of time to get there, unfortunately we got lost ending up driving around Warrington town centre for 20 minutes trying to find any signs to point us in the right direction! luckily, by pure chance we drove up some main road and spotted a sign, so 10 minutes ...
...to have some dinner at Gullivers Travels Restaurant, didn't have anything special, 2 chips and fish and a kids meal which cost us £21, which i thought was too much considering the portions, for that price you'd expect the dinner to be served on a gold plate!,the woman serving was on her own, and didn't seem to have a clue really, and the till oddly doesn't accept card payment, so if you hand your card over to pay she has to go across to the other ...

Gullivers World - Warrington

Advantages: Few queues for rides
Disadvantages: Queues for food, standard of toilets

As it was coming up to my daughter's 3rd birthday I decided to take her to Gulliver's World in Warrington. I knew it would be better suited to her than the likes of Alton Towers etc as it caters for the very young. When we arrived we noticed it was £10.30 for Adults and also £10.30 for children, however children under 90cm were free. My daughter was a little over 90cm so we had to pay the £10.30. I was a little annoyed at this, however I realised ...
...ago at Knowsley Safari Park for unlimited rides, so it wasn’t too bad. Plus the majority of the rides were catered for her age range. We had arrived at lunch time so decided to get something to eat. After waiting 20 mins to be served (only 1 couple in front of us!) we decided we’d try somewhere else later. Little did we know we’d later come to regret that decision. After going on a few rides we decided to try again for something to eat in one of ...

In my opinion DO'NT GO

Advantages: not many- dut the farewell dance at the end of the day
Disadvantages: Too expensive for adults, rude staff, paying for rides that children are refused on. run down

Went to the theme park Sunday 14th June- Befor setting off we looked at the website it stated that children under 0.9cm were free, my grandaughter was under this height, at home on the growing chart. Arriving at the park we were paying for 4 adults and 2 children, we had my 2 small grandchildren in the buggy, not satisfied with the £72 we were paying (for rides that grannies do not go on) we had to wake both girls up to measure them, the 12 month ...
...take your word for it, the other child which we measured at home and she was under the 0.9cm- with her shoes on she was touching the bar, we had to pay for her- even though there were certain rides that she was restricted from going on- there was tears and tantrums all day long. My suggestions to anyone in this situation is put flat sandals or pumps on your child before you go. The staff at this park are very rude and patronising especialy the manager. ...

Quick review of Gullivers World - Warrington

Yes it is tired and worn out. Yes the rides are less than thrilling. Yes the food is terrible (apart from the donuts!!!). BUT the kids (7 year old twins) love it. They can go on every ride, some on their own, giving them a little sense if independence and it is good value for money. It is a theme park for kids with rides for kids. Thats it! Does what it says on the tin. If you want adult thrills go to Alton Towers, Blackpool, or whatever satisfies your needs! ...

Quick review of Gullivers World - Warrington

MY DAUGHTER AND MYSELF TOOK HER TWO CHILDREN AND MY SON'S DAUGHTER TO THE PARK A COUPLE OF MONTHS AGO. WE THOUGHT THE PARK WAS REALLY LOVELY AND GOOD FUN FOR THE GRANDCHILDREN. THE FOOD WAS GOOD AND NOT CHEAP BUT REASONABLE. THE ONLY COMPLAINT WAS THE ENTRANCE FEE FOR MYSELF, AS I AM DISABLED AND NEARLY 60 SO ONLY WENT ON ONE RIDE AND MY YOUNGER GRANDSON WHO IS ONLY 2 BUT QUITE TALL. HE COULD NOT GO ON MANY RIDES AS I COULD NOT ACCOMPANY HIM AND MY DAUGHTER WHO WAS HIGHLY PREGNANT COULDN'T EITHER. EVEN THOUGH HE WAS SLIGHTLY OVER SO WE HAD TO PAY THERE WERE VERY FEW RIDES FOR HIS HEIGHT UNACCOMPANIED. ...
