...going to Thomas Cook, The Handlery in San Francisco was on our shortlist. Of course we decided on the much more luxurious Westin St Francis to start off our honeymoon trip but when we were informed in Thomas Cook that there was one in San Diego, we were more than happy to give it a go.
We wanted a king size room for two nights and noticed that there was actually a space on the booking form our travel agent used to write in any special requirements. ... ...looking after honeymoon guests and always gave you a few extras so we were happy to go along with this.
***Arriving***
We found the drive from Palm Springs quite quick along the major freeways and this was one section of our trip that we wanted to get out of the way, as we had plans to spend part of the day at Sea World. We found the hotel easily, as the Hotel Circle section of San Diego is well signposted and we had been given exit directions ...

Advantages: In beautiful San Diego Disadvantages: Noisy labor dispute disturbs stay
Since May 2009, workers have regularly picketed outside this hotel, making lots of noise. This picketing comes as a result of hotel's unwillingness to treat its workers fairly with adequate wages, pension plans and healthcare benefits. Because of this labor dispute these workers have worked with a contract since November 2007! If you're looking for a place to have a calm and relaxing vacation and you do not want to cross a picket line, DO NOT stay ... ...the dispute will continue to escalate as will actions, picketing and demonstrations outside of the hotel. As a customer, you have the ability to do the right thing and not fuel the injustice in our community. Do not patronize this property for any reason, not only to show management that this treatment of the workers is unacceptable but also to protect your event and ensure a successful stay in San Diego. ...
