Cheerful but definitely not cheap!! - Devon Cliffs

Advantagesgreat for kids, and lovely views

Disadvantagesvery expensive

"Ok well I will be honest with you – we booked this holiday through The Sun newspaper. It was one of those really cheap holidays where you collect the tokens then choose your destination from a choice given to you. You can book a haven holiday online at www.havenholidays.co.uk. There were 5 of us on this holiday (all adults) and after upgrades and extras it ended up costing approx £9 each – which is not bad at all. And am I glad we booked it this way ..." Read review

Golden Sands (Mablethorpe)

AdvantagesThe only advantages of Golden Sands is its location next to a long sandy beach.

DisadvantagesEverything else !

"...is nowhere near up to Havens usual standards. Having previously owned a caravan at Littlesea and knowing the strict guidelines we had to follow regarding caravan equipment etc, this was the worst Haven holiday my family has ever had to endure. The only positive note I can say is that the pantomine and Legends were fantastic to watch. *Edit* Forgot to put in that part of the window trim was missing from the main bedroom window. This was ..." Read review

Things to do in Devon when youre dead

AdvantagesGood holiday

DisadvantagesHilly and expensive

"Not for me the hot exotic holidays of the rich and famous, no jet setting off to foreign lands this year (if you can jet set from Birmingham airport). This year I’m going to Torquay and because I don’t really like hotels, I’m staying at the Haven holiday camp. Booking and bumf **************** Before you book you need to get hold of a brochure. You can order one from their website www.havenholidays.co.uk or by calling them on 0870 242 2222. The ..." Read review

Haven or Heaven

Advantagesplenty to do for all the family

Disadvantageskeep away from the amusements

"I recently went to Haven in Ayr for the weekend. I have been nefore and the park I chose is called Craig Tara which is an all action park, this means that there is loads to do and it gets pretty busy so not recommended for a quiet break. My hubby and I were fed up and needed a holiday so I looked them up on the website WWW.havenholidays.co.uk and found the bargain break section and phoned them up. The salesman was very helpful but all the week ..." Read review

Warmwell Holiday Park

AdvantagesExcellent for the kids

DisadvantagesPark was quite hilly

"In May we went to Havens Warmwell holiday park, near Weymouth, for a midweek break (mon-fri). At Warmwell all the accommodation is in lodges. We had no idea what to expect as we've never been on a holiday like this before (my hubby is strictly an abroad man!). We've got 2 children so really needed a lodge with 3 bedrooms. To get a silver lodge with 3 rooms it cost us £126. You get discounts for children under 5 (£10 for a midweek break and £20 for ..." Read review

A heavenly short break away?...Maybe (Perran Sands) Review with images

AdvantagesCheap, cheerful, family friendly

Disadvantagesif its bad weather, your holiday may be ruined

"I am not a very outdoorsy person, so when my boyfriend suggested we head to a Haven Holiday Park I wasn't all that impressed. After he had suggested this, he decided to also state that we would not be staying in a caravan or a 'supertent'...We would be camping in our own two person, very small tent. Again i was not impressed. The main reason I went for this is because of the price...It was £22.00 for three nights, and that included both of us, a car, ..." Read review

Presthaven Sands is a haven of tranquility

Advantagesnear Rhyl and Prestatyn

Disadvantageshaving to leave

"NAME OF LOCATION: Presthaven Sands Holiday Park, Prestatyn, Wales BACKGROUND In March 2012, my fiance Robert and I went to Presthaven Sands. Although I have visited Wales many times, they have usually been day trips from home (Chesterfield) or from other North Wales destinations that we have stayed at, so staying in Prestatyn would be a great change. ATTRACTIONS I drove to Angelsey and Llandudno during this tirm and went went on Llandudn the ..." Read review

Haven Holidays, Devon Cliffs, Devon

AdvantagesLoads to Do, Lovely Caravans

DisadvantagesExpensive drinks in clubs

"This year we went to the Devon Cliffs Haven Holiday park for a week holiday. We stayed in a Bronze Caravan which cost around £600 for a week, this included Entertainment passes for clubs and swimming pool, and linen. The Caravan Our Caravan was very nice. As you walked in there was a lounge area which had a television, large table sofa all the way round and a gas fire. With no door, the lounge lead on to the kitchen which included a full size ..." Haven or Hell?...You decide!

AdvantagesGreat caravans

DisadvantagesBad brochures

"Having a group of teenagers on my hands, when I am looking for a holiday I need somewhere that can entertain my picky brood, whatever the weather. I need something for them to do, rain or shine and by 'them' I also include my hubby who I think has more child in him than the rest of them put together. Well we have just returned from a week at Golden Sands Mablethorpe, one of Haven's All action Parks. The weather was good the sea air exhilarating, ..." Read review

Haven Holiday Park - Wild Duck

AdvantagesThere is camping/caravaning facilities

DisadvantagesOur tent was quite away from the toilets, not good at night

"Myself and my family went on holiday last September to Haven Holiday Park - Wild Duck. Which is located about approx 10-15 miles away from Great Yarmouth. This not not one of the big Havens, but is a very friendly and had everything we wanted. We did not stay in one of their holiday homes or chalets we went camping in our tent. As we were going just as the school holidays had finished, the 1st week in September, we were only charged £23 for 5 nights. ..." Read review

Haven a ball

AdvantagesGreat for the kids

DisadvantagesThe good old british weather

"Having not been on holiday as a family since the long age age of 1996, we decided that this year we would go away come hell or high water. Of course money is tight and so we decided to book a Haven Holiday, if nothing else our two little monsters would enjoy it. I went to the British Holidays website and had a look through the holidays on offer and enlisted the help of 10-year-old Zoe to decide which park which should go to. After reviewing ..." Read review

Haven Holidays Parks - A few thoughts from me

AdvantagesFamily based holidays

DisadvantagesThe prices

"=Haven Holidays= We have holidayed at two Haven sites, Prestatyn in North Wales, and the Martin Mere site which is near to Blackpool. Haven currently have 35 sites in the UK, covering caravans, chalets, and touring facilities, not all of these are available at all parks. =Holiday Pricing= The first thing I leant is to completely ignore the brochure price, as there is always an offer or a deal to be had, I felt in general ..." Haven - Wild Duck - activities galore!

AdvantagesFamily friendly, 2 pools, lots of activities

DisadvantagesNone to date

"Wild Duck was a favourite holiday camp site for many years. Being only a few hours drive away it was the perfect getaway. Wild Duck Holiday park is a Haven campsite located in Norfolk, in good driving distance from Great Yarmouth and Norfolk Broads. When staying at the site I have always stayed in their Gold static carvans. These have always been upto standard and very clean and tidy. The rooms were a good size for a caravan and each had a good ..." Read review

JUST THE TICKET

Advantagessee op

Disadvantagesnone

"This time all year is when we start thinking about booking our family holidays, and for many years while my children were small we used to spend our holiday with Haven, as I was a single parent and needed to get the cheapest deal possible, with the entertainment included in the price. Haven has parks located throughout England, Scotland and Wales. I have stayed at a few of their parks, such as Caister (Norfolk), Seaview (Dorest), littlesea (Dorset). ..." Read review
