...leave. I cant remember how Hazelwood Park popped up when I was searching on the wen, but I decided to throw myself on the mercy of their rather nice website.
The blurb says its facilities include a outdoor heated swimming pool, pool room, take-away, laundrette, supermarket and clubhouse/bar. Not a lot which is what we wanted but it is only a 10 minute walk from Dawlish Warren beach and a short drive from Powderham Castle, Exeter, Paignton Zoo, Quaywest, ... ...choose from.
Hazelwood Bungalow - The super duper, top of the range bungalow. For an average of £200 a week more than the others you get a bungalow thats 60% bigger than the other bungalows, they sleep six people with a double bedroom, a room with bunk beds in it and a double sofa bed in the living room. They are also recently refurbished with a fully equipped kitchen, fridge-freezer and microwave. They also have the convenience of being near the ...

Advantages: Set in lovely surroundings. A quiet site. Near to Dawlish Warren beach and lots of attractions. Disadvantages: Outdoor (but heated) swimming pool - on the small size.
...themed crazy golf. We spent most of the days out visiting Crealy, Babbacombe Model Village, Dawlish and the black swans and Shaldon Wildlife Trust (all within a 15/20 minute drive).
The children did not want to come home and we would definitely think of visiting Hazelwood Park again. ...

We had booked a Hazelwood Bungalow which has one double bedroom and one twin bedroom. It can sleep up to 6 and even 7 in some units with the use of the bed sofa in the living area but we fell that any more than 4 the unit would be too small .They also have larger Lodges as well some cheaper Beechwood chalets which can sleep unto 4 people.
The park was lovely with lots of wildlife. Located in Dawlish Warren, South Devon the park is family ... ...to help. There was a small heated outdoor swimming pool and club house on site. The Club house was run by Len and his family and the kids had a great time in the evenings. There is also Londis supermarket on site as well as two large fishing lakes and kids playground. Dawlish Warren, we found, is a perfect location for visiting Devon
We have been since again and would be happy to recommend it ...

Quick review of Hazelwood Park (Devon)
we visited the holiday park(beechwood accomodation) late aug 2008 and was disappointed,
brochure said 5 minutes walking distance to the beach, when i would say it would be at least double that, the beds were rock hard.
the chalets smelt damp and musty and were not clean on arrival.on the second day of the stay our gas kettle caught light which when we reported it was told it could be a problem with the gas supply(must admit could smell to much gas when lighting cooker)to staffs credit while we were out they did supply new cooker.but cant help thinking how serious was problem, luckily we only paid off peak prices, feel sorry for people paying full price. ...

Quick review of Hazelwood Park (Devon)
Friendly, helpful staff, good club,DJ Martin superb, nice warm pool, expensive beer, chalet could have been cleaner, very pleasent surroundings, fishing pretty good not enough big fish though, see swans, ducks, geese, rabbits, finches, dragonflies and kingfishers too mention a few from your chalet door.Beautiful beach within a short walk, some nice gift shops, amusements near by and you must visit the local bakery for all your tastey treats yum yum!!Try to get the chalets around 180-200 for the early morning wildlife and seclusion ,they also happen to be the cheapest but sadly the oldest. We will definately return another year if not next. ...

Do not, I REPEAT, do NOT go here. The only good thing about this place is its website, which paints a picture of a lovely, sunny holiday resort with cutesy accomodation. The reality is different.
On arrival we were shown into a chalet that was filthy dirty and so damp that our clothes were soggy within 24 hours. We were offered another chalet but that was damp, too. We left after three sleepless nights in a damp bed that was supposed to be a double ...

Hazelwood park is a David Bellamy 38 acre, very beautiful site. They sell luxury holiday homes as well as self catering holidays for the whole family. It is only a short walk from a seemingly endless golden sandy beach. They have forty years experience in providing self catering holiday accomodation, so your holiday is in safe hands and is a family run business. Good days out include quaywest in paignton (about 40 minutes drive away) which is a water ... ...around in, crealy (30 minutes drive away) which is a fun filled adventure park for all ages, Paignton Zoo (40 minutes drive away) which was featured on the bbc series "zoo keepers" and is an extremely fun day out for all ages. These are just to name a few. Closer by are the towns of Dawlish and Teignmouth, but for the shopaholic in the family there is Exeter which is only half an hours drive away. I found this an extremely fun filled holiday and ...
