Advantages: good standard of food Disadvantages: A bit more expensive than most chinese restaurants
...always put off going to Henry Wongs because of the prices when there was a much cheaper and tasty chinese takeaway just round the corner. I did get a chance to try it though when a friend decided to take me there for dinner.
The menu was pretty standard for a chinese restaurants with old favorites such as peking duck and beef in black bean sauce. I ordered the special chilli king prawns with egg fried rice and my friend had the chicken with cashew ... ...white wine was pleasant aswell. The dishes cost around £6 and the portions were large.
I liked the surroundings with green bamboo shoots in vases and potted palms. The service was also efficient and there seemed to be quite a few regular customers.
Overall I recommend this place if you want to be guaranteed a nice meal and don't mind spending a bit more. You can find it on Harborne high street near the petrol station. ...
