Advantages: Car was OK but customer service was terrible Disadvantages: Totally hidden extras amounting to over £200 in a week!

The hertz web site has no phone numbers only email link to customer services. I lodged a complaint but as it was so much money I also rang AMEX for advice. Amex were brilliant and managed to get me through to Hertz customer services. The lady I spoke to was rude and agressive and just kept repeating - 'we will not be refunding' and didn't let me finish my sentences. When I asked for her name she refused to give me her surname. ... ...am continuing the fight with Hertz to get some kind of refund but feel it is going to be a long haul. My advice to you is not to hire through Hertz. I thought I was getting the reassurance of a big company but it has been a nightmare. In my opinion I think they are just out to make money with overpriced extras that lots of people don't need. ...
