...made bearable by the excellent Hillthwaite House Hotel where we were staying. The hotel was an absolute haven! Basics The hotel is a family run business and has about thirty rooms. Very welcomed on arrival. Staff only too happy to help through out our stay. Spent 3 nights during August with partner and his parents. Certainly get what you pay for. Exexutive suite (his parents) is beautiful, and veiw from floor to ceiling bay window was stunning. Our room was more basic -although en suite with jacuzzi, was ground floor, with view into a green house. Also rather small and very stuffy - windows did not open. Ask for a room on first ...
