Advantages: Service Disadvantages: A little remote
My partner and I decided to go for a city break to Amsterdam – somewhere we had fancied for a while and it provided me a chance to fly for the first time. After much shopping around, we booked (via Thompson online) for a 2 night stay at the 5 start Hilton Amsterdam (with direct flights from Cardiff with KLM) for approximately £280 pp.
The hotel is about 15 minutes in a cab from Schipol airport (approximately 30 euro) which is what we opted for, ... ...hotel and there is a tram stop just around the corner.
On arriving at the hotel, which is in a quiet residential area, just outside the main centre, you are greeted by a gentleman in a long which tail coat, who opens the door for you and takes you luggage.
