...am a member of the Hilton Honors scheme - it is free to join and well worth it if you use hotels often as they do have regular special offers and you can earn Hilton points and frequent flyer miles at the same time. See website: http://hhonors.hilton.com - so I thought I would take a look to see what deals there might be. I was pleasantly surprised to get an offer on the Croydon Hilton for £43.50 a night (Fri/Sat) including breakfast and dinner the ... ...Express in Croydon. The Hilton Honors website is simple to use and my booking was confirmed, with a print-out in my hand in less than a couple of minutes.
Anyway... the first and probably most important thing to say ahout the Croydon Hilton is that it is most definitely NOT in Croydon. THIS IS VERY MISLEADING!!! It is actually in Waddon, a nearby town. The Hilton website does not mention this at all and suggests that the nearest train station is ...

*** ARRIVAL ***
Providing you can navigate Croydon's rather complex one-way system to get out of town, based on the A23 Croydon to Gatwick and Brighton road, access is pretty easy. There is ample free parking on site in the form of above and below ground multi-storey. Even better and considerably rarer for most Hiltons, parking is free.
The first thing that struck ... ...of the staff in the Hilton Coventry. The air conditioning was totally ineffective, and the window did open, but to expose a very noisy main road alongside.
The Internet connection, for which Hilton charge £15 for 24 hour worked for less than one hour of my stay, and neither the hotel, nor the I-Bahn provider could resolve the issue, resulting in me spending £10 on BT Open zone wireless in the hotel lobby. The telephone handset in the *** FOOD ***

Advantages: service, food Disadvantages: staff members
if you are out in croydon and need a rest, then you should defo stay @ croydon hilton, because its one of the best hotels around there. i stayed there 2 nights when i was out in tiger and milan bar etc and this hotel provided everything what i needed and a cab from croydon town centre to hotel only costs tenner so its all good. the staff members are not as friendly as in some parts of uk, but they are still really helpful and around you 24/7 whats ... ...gonna have a night out in croydon again and dont want to disturb my family when i arrive back lol.
in my opinion if the hotel had more staff members working and better housekeeping members then they hotel will be better, because most of people who i tried to talk to were trying to avoid me a little, maybe because they didnt understand me or just didnt understand english in general, but your own choice what you think. but i will recommend it to other ...
