I went to the Hilton for 3 nights from 27th-30th December 08 during the Christmas period. I went with a friend and her family who had gone to the Hilton the previous Christmas. The rooms were £99 per night for 2 people which I thought was very reasonable. We have never been so disappointed with a supposedly 'luxury' hotel. Despite booking a 'deluxe' room, the room was tiny, the bath was stained and suitable only for the short of limb, the 'castle' view was of the castle car park and the deluxe package of fruit, wine, dressing gowns was no where to be found. It was all hard work, phoning reception to point out everything missing, being woken by the cleaners at 8.50 on a Sunday morning, and being given ...

Quick review of Hilton Hotel, York
I stayed at the Hilton hotel in York recently and did not have a good experience. Four people shared a room and we only had enough amenities for two people even though they were aware that four people were staying in the room. When we woke up in the morning we noticed that the bed sheets under which we had slept were full of stains and holes. It was quite obvious that the bed covers had not been changed. I would not expect this of a Travel Lodge never mind the Hilton! In future I will save my money, stay in a Travel Lodge and have better service! ...
