Advantages: Great for Canary Wharf, Clean, Helpful Staff Disadvantages: Not for Leisure. Location not brilliant for Social Life
...eat in the hotel at Hilton prices (Yorkshireman in me coming out again!) or onto the tube etc.
I've always had a standard double room and these have varied greatly. Whilst the view of the Thames is a constant, the rooms have varied from 'compact and beju' to vast, which surprised me a little - my first stay was the smallest, so if you stay here and find the room a little on the small side it may be worth having a word with reception - you never ... ...here is book through the Hilton website and I'm sure you'd get it for much less - particularly as Hilton are always putting special offers on.
All in all it's a nice hotel, clean and well aid out with friendly attentive staff and superb if you're on business, but in my opinion not great for leisure travel. ...

Advantages: Beautifully resourced and well-staffed hotel in a superb location Disadvantages: Complacent management seem to allow endless minor irritations spoil what should be a good stay
...cause to complain about a Hilton hotel before and, as a fiercely loyal Hilton Hhonors Gold VIP member, I tend to get treated pretty well and earn both Air Miles AND Hhonors points when I stay, which count towards future stays. Take a seat; I’m actually going to have to burst the bubble this time. I’m not a completely happy bunny. Whilst there are very many things about this hotel which pleased me, one too many minor niggles leaves me unable to offer ... ...as ever, just one fluffy Hilton bathrobe. Why, in a double room, you don’t get two bathrobes is still beyond me but it seems to be a common, if slightly illogical, policy.
A bed time story
Well, why not? Are you sitting comfortably? Then I’ll begin. Once upon a time, there were three bears. Daddy bear, Mummy bear and Baby Bear. They decided to visit a hotel in Docklands. Whilst Baby bear was used to Goldilocks stealing his porridge, he was a little ...

...to book online with the Hilton hotel website. There was more than enough clear and easy to see pictures of the room and for a change the pictures reflected how the room looks.

Advantages: Lovely, Clean Spacious Rooms, some with a fantastic view of canary wharf Disadvantages: The evening meal was poor
...had never heard of the Hilton London Docklands before I had booked, but ended up having two fantastic days in late February this year. The Hilton London Docklands is built directly opposite Canary Wharf on the other side of the Thames, an area of massive redevelopment. Out of London this area has still got a reputation of being rough, but in reality in now consists of expensive townhouses and Luxury apartments. The hotel itself has well over 800 ... ...no trouble getting into central London for shopping and there is a tube station and bus stop close by (although I have forgotten the name of the Tube Station!). I would thoroughly recommend a stay in the Hilton London Docklands, the most pleasing factor being the levels of customer service. ...

I booked this hotel over the phone via a deal from teletext (£159 for 2 people b&b and dinner on the 1st night). The hotel runs a shuttle service from the nearest tube station which is handy as its quite a way away from the hotel. When we arrived i thought the enterance and reception areas were a little tired and boring looking. The staff were pleasent though and we got our room key. The room was a real disappointment - tiny (you could barely fit ... ...the view was appalling - straight onto a block of flats. This was definately the worst hotel room ive stayed in for the money. Dinner was very nice and we enjoyed a lovely 3 course meal, service was also very good. After dinner we had a few drinks in the bar - this was a lovely place to drink - modern, comfortable with views over the river towards canary wharf. Breakfast was again lovely and the Whiskey for the poridge was a particularly nice touch. ...
