Advantages: Location, walkable to city centre Disadvantages: Unclean, no pride, badly thought out room, poor attitude among staff
We arrived at the Holgate Bridge Hotel early afternoon. It looked basic but adequate and very out dated. We didn't mind this though - 3 star hotel and all - and we are not over picky. When we went to reception the lady behind the desk seemed very bored with her job and wasn't pretending to be very welcoming. Still, not all that important really. We were pointed to our room down the hall. As soon as we went in the room spelled like drains...or, to ... ...to deal with and take little pleasure in doing so. I really do advise you find another place to stay - and always check online reviews first, this isn't the first poor review for Holgate Bridge and won't be the last - if only I'd known. Live and learn. ...
