Average Rooms at the Holiday Inn Express (Glasgow)
_____________________________________________________
The rooms and facilities at the Holiday Inn Express (Glasgow) are typical of a global chain and, though not excellent, are adequate for staying the night. The twin rooms consist of two single beds placed side by side and a desk by the window. The double rooms have the addition of a sofa ...

Advantages: 2 minute walk to airport terminal, clean hotel, efficent staff Disadvantages: Busy, don't leave it too late to book, small rooms
...we went to Salou on holiday and unfortunately we had to travel through to Glasgow for the flight rather than a 10 minute drive to Edinburgh. We realised that we needed to check in around 5am which would mean probably getting up at 3am, so we decided to book a hotel near the airport. Express by Holiday Inn seemed to be the best for families and at the same time allow us to have breakfast at 4am. The Hotel is easily seen from the M8 westbound and when ... ...airport take exit leading along towards the hotel. You go into a very busy car park and find a space. Then we unloaded the kids and all our lugagge and said goodbye to piccie for 8 days.
The outside of the hotel is immaculate and there is not a spot of rubbish to be seen and it was a lovely hotel to look at with it's white decor. Inside the hotel was clean but as soon as you walk in you are hit by the smoke from the bar. On the right hand side is ...

The TV alarm worked - just as well as my alarm ...

Advantages: Reasonable rates, very central, very clean and friendly Disadvantages: none
We've been to the Hiexpress Central several times and we won't go to another hotel when being in Glasgow (only when it would be fully-booked and then we would try the Hiexpress Theaterland. The hotel is extremely clean, has very friendly staff. There are double-rooms with a sofa bed (for another adult or two children) or twin-bed rooms. All rooms have private bathrooms with shower and WC. Tea/Coffee making facilities in the room, telephone and TV ... ...no problem there is a microwave and dishes in the lobby so you can always make your meal and eat on your room. There is only home-delivery information available at the reception so you can order meals to be delivered to the hotel. Both hotels are situated very centrally: Buchanan bus station is opposite Hiexpress Theatreland, Central railway station is some ten walking minutes from Hiexpress Central, both of the are in walking distance of the shops ...
