Advantages: Location and price are unbeatable Disadvantages: No frills, but it's what you expect
...criteria was a good budget hotel with easy links to all the sights of NYC. We found this place through hostelworld.com and got a good rate...we paid about £300 each for 6 nights which in Manhattan is hard to beat!
Lets cut to the chase, the reason we stayed here was BECAUSE IT WAS CHEAP. The lift was like something straight out of a 20's movie and the decor looked like mid 60's but that all added to the character. Plus the bottom line was that it ... ...$40 but I think there is a standard fare to all NYC hotels.
Overall, if you want a cheap, no frills place to stay in New York City in a great location then I would challenge you to do better than Hotel 31. I would definitely stay here again. ...
