The Hotel is in a great part of town. Its right on the Amstel river and is just behind the Rembrandtplein - one of the major suqres in Amsterdam. We stayed in a "superior" room as there was no standard accomodation left. The building suffer from the same lean and quirky angles that alot of Amsterdam building suffer from, but I cannot fault the hotel in anyway at all.
The room was large and overlooking the canal. To give you an ... ...a side table, coffee table, TV, huge wardrobe, double bed and Ensuite and room to move around. It was kitted out in quite old but, ornate but funky furniture and even had two chandileers! The bathroom looked newly refurbished and teh shower was great!
We had cable with about 30 channels and a bar fridge that was very reasonable. Breakfast was extra and we decided to eat out around town istead. The front desk is manned 24 hours a day and the staff ...
