Hotel Cala Font, Salou

I stayed at Calafont Hotel from 5th - 19th September 2005. This is my review: We arrived late evening with family and friends. I was sharing a room with my Partner and our 9mth old Son, so we all went to reception to get our keys. We doubled checked with them that there was a cot in our room (as a member of the family had pre-ordered them) to our astonishment they said "we don't have cots here". ...the food was adaquete. The hotel looked beautiful they even had an amazing man-made waterfall. I couldn't believe my eyes i never imagined the hotel to look like this especially for a 3 star hotel. We decided to have a look around the beach which was right next to the hotel. The first week we were there was ok, but the second week dragged as there was nothing to do (in walking distance). I think the holiday would suit older couples (50+) or people ...

...our balcony, lovely views. The hotel is right on the beach and has it's own private beach, which is quite small really but a huge public beach is just around the back of the hotel. The food was quite good, there is a house chef who has a dish of the day which he cooks in the restaurant rather that in the kitchen, well it isn't really a "dish" it's usually a meat, eg, steaks etc. The only downside that I found with this holdiay was the entertainment, ...

We stayed at the Hotel Cala Font on the Autumn of 2004 for a week and enjoyed our stay there so much we returned the following spring. The Cala Font is a three star hotel in the Cap de Salou area of Salou on the Costa Dorada.
