Advantages: Great location, even greater wine cellar Disadvantages: Breakfast was not quite to the standard I was expecting.

Quick review of Hotel du Vin and Bistro, Harrogate
I visited Hotel Du Vin in June 2007. When I booked they only had studio rooms available, it was expensive at £180 a night, but proved to be worth it. The reception is at one end of the entrance down a few stairs. The check in was simple and the staff very friendly.
My partner and I were put into the Robert Mondavi room. It was big, with a large double bed, a seperate area with a sofa & entertainment centre. The Bath was at the foot of the bed, there was also a seperate bathroom with a walk in wet room/shower.
We had a balcony that overlooked the courtyard, we sat outside reading the ample supply of magazines and drinking coffee.

I stayed here on a Saturday evening in "Taittinger", all rooms are named after wines. The room was extremely spacious with everything you would expect of a brilliant hotel.
There were about 10 windows in my room, a massive shower. huge comfy bed and great toiletries in the two bathrooms.
The mini bar was well stocked, albeit a little pricey. They have Grey Goose vodka, nothing cheap here!

Entrance hall and bar area were extremely comfortable and the check in was swift and efficient.
Only problem was the breakfast, it costs something like £13 but was really nice.
I would stay here again if I had the money. My room was about £200 but worth every penny. ...
