I was recently lucky enough to stay at the Hyatt Regency Kyoto in Japan. The hotel is on first impressions very Japanese and very impressive. You are welcomed and are immediately felt to be special. The rooms are fabulous, very spacious (particularly for Japanese standards) with wood paneling on one wall with a frosted window through to the bathroom. The wall with the bed against has a full wall length headboard which is made up of different kimono fabrics and wood paneling.
