Drinks and snacks were charged for - whereas they would have been free, had we been flying with BA - their codeshare airline. I flew with Iberia for the first time in August as part of a British Airways codeshare. I had booked with BA the price for the return to Barcelona was only £128 incl tax from Heathrow. So the price was reasonable. Check in As I was transferring from BMI as I had flown into Heathrow from Belfast, check in was done at the Flight Connections centre. I have never seen a more bored person doing check in in my life , he was slow and really not very helpful ...
...be the airport and not the airline. Overall Iberia is a stae owned airline and has difficulty moving to the more competitive environment.It will have to do alot better if it is to comptete effectively and be a useful part of the Oneworld alliance with British Airways etc ...
