Advantages: Great location, cheap, clean Disadvantages: Budget hotel
I stayed at the Ibis Stopera in Amsterdam in April 2006 with two friends and would definitely recommend it for anyone who it looking for a budget hotel that can be relied on.
For anyone who hasn't stayed in an Ibis hotel before I would describe them as a superior travelodge. In other words, no matter which one you go to, you generally know what you're getting. Always clean and a good service. There was also a bar.
For three girls on a budget the ... ...the hotel.

The Ibis Stopera is in a great location, a 15 min stroll from the train station and just around the corner from the Rembrandt musuem/house and market. We walked everywhere from this hotel and none of the attractions where more than around 20 minutes away.
Highly recommended to all. Although if you're looking for a luxury hotel, this isn't it - for that you need to have cash to splash! ...
