I stayed here in October\November 2006 as part of a two centre stay in Thailand.
The hotel was wonderful and the staff were so welcoming and accommodating. We managed to dine in each of the restaurants within the hotel (there are 6 in total if you don't count the Parkview which is also used as the main breakfast area). Check out the Japanese restaurant on the 37th floor. The views from here are amazing. The standard of food in each one was amazing, ... ...swimming pools - one on the fourth floor and one on the 9th - as well as a gym. A night-time dip before dinner was wonderful
It was close to the skytrain as well so most of Bangkok was easily accessible to us and they arranged for us to have a guide take us to the Golden Palace at a much cheaper rate than our holiday company were able to do.

Advantages: excellent food, good rooms, good pool Disadvantages: none really
This really is an excellent hotel. I stayed here about two years ago and it is definitely one of the top few hotels I have been to. My family and I ate in a couple of the restaurants and one of them was outstanding. The other, where you cook your own food was slightly confusing and we didn't really get to grips with it so it wouldn't be fair to criticise. However, the main restaurant where we ate several times for breakfast, lunch and dinner was ... ...selection and quality of the food was outstanding.
The leisure facilities at the hotel were good too. I often used the rooftop pool and this wasn't busy and always had a pool attendant. There was also a gym, which my dad used, and several shops, including a tailor providing good-value suits - although this is normal in Thailand.
