Advantages: caters for wet and dry weather Disadvantages: expensive
...to home and Skegness and Ingoldmells seemed to be the easiest to get to so that was where we pointed the car. As it was a weekday the roads weren't too busy and it took approximately one and a half hours to reach our destination. As small person had had me up on the hour every hour during the night in anticipation of our BIG DAY OUT he fortunately fell asleep about ten miles down the road and didn't wake up until we were on the outskirts of Ingoldmells ... ...those who don't already know Ingoldmells is on the East Coast of England in Lincolnshire.
Ingoldmells and Skegness are practically joined at the hip but we settled on the former, thinking it was not quite so commercialised and would be quieter. Big mistake. In recent years an amusement park, Fantasy Island, has sprung up alarmingly. There used to be a small amusement park but it's certainly grown in the last few years and houses all manner of weird ...

Advantages: fantasy island, europes largest market, cheap Disadvantages: english weather, can be noisy near the fairground
...are no extra charges. Ingoldmells has many caravan parks and prices vary but the average price is about £200-£250 pounds a week.
Ingoldmells is a very family orientated place. There is an absolutley massive fairground with a number of rollercosters and white knuckle rides. The most famous has to be the Volcano. This is a ride where people sit in a ring around a 200ft steel tower, and you get launched up the tower at 60mph. Scary stuff! There are ... ...located around the park.
Ingoldmells also boasts the biggest outdoor market in Europe. This is amazing, you can buy anything from T-shirts to Flip-Flops, Atershave to Cd's and just about anything else you can think of. There are some stalls that do sell products or items that are of poor quality or are copies of well known brands so my advice would be to have a good look at what you are buying before you pay for it. Along the main streets of Ingoldmells ...

Advantages: Lots to do - eat - and see. Disadvantages: Busy and Noisy.
Fantasy Island is a great mixture of shops, market stalls, fun fairs, entertainment and food outlets all rolled into one big complex. In it about 2 miles to the north of Skegness at Ingoldmells, in the middle of endless caravan parks. Situated on the seafront it is easy to find as there are many sign posts and the massive big dipper ride can be seen for miles around. At night a bright white strobe lights flashes up the pyramid dome in the centre ... ...When you arrive at Fantasy Island the one thing that you can guarantee is that you will see plenty of people. This is definitely not the place to go to if you want escapism. There is an enormous car park at the complex, which costs £2 to park all day. There are no more charges to get into the market, fun fair or pyramid. In the centre of the complex is the large pyramid. Inside here there are loads of children’s rides (some quite large), plus ...

Advantages: Plenty to do, Very cheap Disadvantages: British Weather
Ingoldmells is a great little place just outside of skegness on the Lincolnshire coast line. I must have been coming here for around 15 years now and many things have changed in that time. I can remember when I first started coming as a very young lad the place itself was just a load of caravan’s by the coast and a few amusement arcades and of course pubs. But over the last few years things have changed a great deal. This is mostly down to ... ...things to help Ingoldmells become a great leisure attraction.
One of the main things a tourist resort needs is good affordable accommodation and ingoldmells has plenty of this. I personnel have just booked a stay in a caravan for a cost of only one hundred pounds for a week. This is amazing when you think that you can probably get around 6 people in one caravan so that works out at £17 each amazing. Of course accommodation can depend on weather ...
