Advantages: Best Theme Park in the World!!!!!!!!! Disadvantages: None
Islands of Adventure is a Theme Park, in fact it is THE Theme Park. Located in Orlando as part of the Universal Studios resort, it opened in 1999 with Steven Spielberg as it's creative consultant.
It makes U.K Theme Parks (and I'm not knocking them) look like broken down travelling fairs with two dodgy-looking rides. The theming of the park is breathtaking, each 'land' has an entirely unique look and even the soundtrack is great. Oh, and lastly, ... ...my girlfriend.
LOCATION
Islands of Adventure is located in Orlando near International Drive. The park is opposite Universal Studios which is linked by City Walk - an complex of bars, nightclubs, restaurants and shops. The park can be reached by water taxi if staying at any of the Universal Hotels, there are large car parks and most hotels on International Drive have free buses that go there every morning. The car parks and bus parks are linked ...

...Studios Resort with Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure and linking them both City Walk. The Universal Studios Resort may be the poor relation when it comes to attraction visitors but having spent two days at Island of Adventure I can definitely recommend you spend a day there be you a thrill seeker, a scared parent, a tweenie or a tiny tot it has something to offer everyone. With it's compact nature it is also extremely easy to do in a day and ... ...on.
Location:
Islands of Adventure is located at the northern end of International Drive, once you've either parked up, jumped out of your taxi or hopped off one of the frequent Lynx buses that goes there it is only a short stroll via the City walk area which links both Islands of adventure and Universal Studios. This to me was a plus point having spent a week "doing" Disney where it meant queuing for buses, jumping on monorails or taking a boat ...

...best park for last. Islands of Adventure (IoA) is part of the Universal Studios group and was built around 12 years ago (they were just building it the last time I had been to Universal). I was in Orlando with 3 friends so we were keen on theme parks with more exciting rides to offer and IoA did not disappoint. GETTING THERE:
IoA is part of the same park complex that holds Universal Studios. As with most Orlando attractions it is fairly well signposted. ... ...main road through Orlando, and it is signposted off this. There is a ridiculous amount of parking available. Make sure you remember which character and which number you are parked in otherwise you'll be searching for that rental car for hours! Each section is named after a Universal character such as Spiderman, the Cat in the Hat and ET. The car park gets stupidly busy on the way out so try to avoid leaving at the same time as everyone else (we queued ...

...in the Universal park ' Islands of Adventure' - it really is one of the best parks in Florida in my opinion and I'll go through what makes this park so good.
Entrance:
The park entrance is included in the pre purchase tickets you can buy in the UK before travelling to Orlando, which is the Flexi ticket. A Flexi ticket in the UK costs for an adult approximately £149 - 159 depending on who you purchase from and this will allow you entry to 6 different ... ...days. Not bad at all really. The other parks included are the Universal studios, Busch gardens, Seaworld, Wet and wild and the new park that only opened this month, Aquatica. It will also allow you entry to some venues in Citywalk free which saves on paying for club entrance fees. If however you want to pay on the gate you can do and this will cost you in the region of £50 so really it is always best to prebook the whole lot before you go as much ...

Universal Studios Islands of Adventure is the second part of the Universal experience. The Islands of Adventure are accessed from the same car parks as Universal Studios, but after passing the bag check area you need to turn left at the city walk rather than right. The ride takes you ...

Islands of Adventure is on International Drive and is very easy to get to, infact most hotels run free shuttle buses. Islands of Adventure is the sister park to Universal Studios and is found on International Drive in Florida. I was staying at the Comfort Inn during my trip and this offered freee shuttles to Universal/Islands Of Adventure which I took full advantage of.

Advantages: Islands of Adventure is a Must See Experience!!! Disadvantages: None.
I found Universals Islands Of Adventure (IOA) to be a wonderful adventure. Every ride is an experience and the different areas of the park keep you interested all day.
Admission is about $63 for IOA but I'd recommend getting a 2 Day 2 Park ticket for $107.90 as this will give you one day at IOA and one day at Universal Studios for a good discount. If you prebuy your tickets on the internet they're a bit cheaper too.

Marvel Superhero Island:
This was very cool. The first thing you see is 'The Hulk' roller coaster. What I'd recommend doing first though is 'Dr Dooms Fearfall'. This throws you 150 feet up a tower and then drops you. Great fun but the thrill isn't as great if you've just been on 'The Hulk'. The Hulk starts off by shooting you out of a canon. You reach 40mph in 2 seconds flat. This is about the speed ...

Islands of Adventure Orlando
Islands of Adventure is for more older people where there are more bigger rides including, The Hulk, Duelling Dragons, Jurassic Park River Adventure and many more but its one of the best theme parks I have ever been to!

Islands of Adventure is the park next to Universal. It is located near International drive. Prices range on the different passes you might get
This park is for everyone but smaller children may not like as many areas of the park because thier is lots of high rides tjhat are fast and go to high or up-side-down.
This is a good park for people like me that love thrill rides. There is five differnet areas of the park (starting closet to the entrance) ... ...are plenty of restaurants in Islands but my personal favourite is Mythos they did lovely burgers, wraps, sandwiches and risottos and other stuff. this is a full service restaurant.
If you don't fancy anything in the park have your handstamped and go outside the park into city walk (this joins Universal studios and Isalnds of Adventure) there are great restuarants out there like Hard rock cafe and NBA and loads of others
conclusion
great day out ...

try and buy the tickets in the uk as it is easier and less hassle of buying in orlando. some have 10 or 14 days which allows you to go in the park as many times as you want and come back to the same park later on in the day but be carefull do watch out for any expiry dates what may come with the tickets.
