Advantages: Relaxing and quiet, beautiful views over Istanbul
Disadvantages: none - unless you don't like horses

As much as I love Istanbul I will always be one of the first ones to admit, that it can be a very tiring and exhausting experience to spend a few days of sightseeing there. With so many things to see, the mad traffic with the forever honking cars, kerbs that seem to be a mile high ( you'll feel as if you've just climbed Mount Everest after walking around for a few hours), the hustle and bustle of the bazaars and the touts that are trying to lure ... Advantages: very romantic place, nice plant cover, sea, no cars
Disadvantages: the smells of horse feces :)

... That makes the citizens of Istanbul to look for places to relax but I can surely say they don't always see what they have in hand. Buyukada, is one of the best places to visit. In fact not only Buyukada. There are a group of Islands in The Sea Marmara and they are called "Prince Islands". Some of them have witnessed very important historical event for Turkey.
