Whilst staying at Sandals Montego Bay ,three years ago, I did 12 dives with the Sandals Diveteam. They offered two dives a day as part of the all-inclusive package.The kit was all Cressi-Sub and well maintained. The morning dives were to a max of 30m, and most of the other divers (90% Americans) were PADI OW only. This mean't the Divemasters led everyone like children and the dives rarely exceeded 30 mins. The highlight by far of my recent trip to Jamaica was the diving. We were staying in just outside Ocho Rios, and prior to arrival, I had contacted Resort Divers by email to arrange some dives. The shop is based in the Island Plaza in Ocho Rios, and the dive centre itself is based in the Shaw Park Hotel. We booked a package of 10 dives for a reasonable $25 a dive. All the diving was from a boat, and not a crowded cattle truck of a boat either. Small groups, and plenty of room to kit up. I went to one of Jamaca best dive site andit was a truley amazing experiance.I swam with the tropical fish and it was great to see all the brightly coloured fish that i have never seen before.Some were ugly and some beautiful but it was great.You have to be a very good swimmer to be in the diving squad as youhave to carry lots of equipment which is vital for survivness.It is all quite exsoensive really but its a great experiance and great value for cash.I would definetly go again but going on holiday to Jamaca for a week will never be done aging due to the costing side of things.You will have ... more
