James Villas had a strong advertising campaign over the last 2 years and, after a very happy holiday with them to Mallorca in 2004, we decided to book a week in Tuscany for the end of August 2008. The website is very informative and we decided on our accommodation - Villa Podere Il Renaio in Legoli. We have just returned from our second JV holiday this year (Lanzarote in January), to Pollensa in Majorca. This was, again, a great holiday at a very reasonable price at around £1100 for everything including villa, flights and car hire. Once again, we found booking to be easy and painless, via the website, which has pictures of the villas and they can be searched according to time and place as well as price. Stayed at villa fonteza in kalami Crete, thoght this villa was very uncomfortable. Was supposed to accomodate six people but there was only one hard sofa that would only seat three people.the beds were so hard as to cause pain if you stayed in one position for long, pillows old and lumpy. villa was 3 storied the living/kitchen area being on the first floor resulting in much trekking up and down stairs if you were in the garden. No parasol around pool area , disastrous if we had had a young child with us.Will be cautious about using James Villas again, other villa companies are doing it better, Crete Escapes for example. ...
