The hotel's website listed double rooms at £95 down from £129, but by booking through a discounted rooms website we got the room for £50.00 including breakfast. The hotel is ideally situated for a short stay in Manchester; five minutes walk from Piccadilly Station, five minutes from Chorlton Street Bus Station, round the corner from Piccadilly Gardens which look lovely at the moment with twinkling lights ...

I stayed at the Jarvis Piccadilly earlier this year whilst I was away for work. All I can say is I am glad that my work were paying as I certainly wouldn't pay to stay here! This hotel is in central manchester in a large quite unnatrative buidling, It was fairly diffcult to find even with a map. The entrance is in the ground floor with signs to take the lift up to the reception. Not a very welcoming entrance, rather dark and dingy. The staff on ...
...room some 7 floors up. The lift was like something out of faulty towers and looked like it hadn't been update in years. I was quite relived when it got me safely to the correct floor. When I got to my room the key they had given me didn't work so I had to brave it in the lift back to reception. My girlfriend and I stayed at the piccadilly last year over the Easter bank holiday. Half price rooms......! We paid £35 a night for a standard non-smoking room, and stayed 3 nights. The standard price is around £70-£120 depends on the type of room you have. So for the money you would expect the hotel to be great. Unfortunately the rooms looked like they had not been decorated for years, and for a non-smoking room all you could smell was smoke. ...
...soap there, but anyway you would expect them to be new and clean, well they looked like they had been used. On a plus note, the gym and pool was good spent a few hours in there each day. They have their own bar called the arts bar not bad and quiet cheap. 24 hour security and on site parking. This would be a really good hotel if only they spent some money updating the features.
