In the ast the Kathmandu Valley consisted of three kingdoms: Kathmandu, Patan and Bhaktapur. Only the king of Nepal from the Kathmandu dynasty still exists. He lived in the new Royal Palace, you can’t visit. The places of the old king palaces, which are surrounded from Buddhist and Hindu temples, are called "Durbar Square". Disadvantages: can´t buy everything

...from Germany via Vienna to Kathmandu costs about 366 pounds. It depends on the month you are travelling. In the high season it´s more expensive like everything. The hotels are really cheep (12US$a night including breakfast) and so is the food. Finally I want to let you know that Nepal was one of the greatest countries I have ever visited.
