Advantages Advantages Cheap, easy to get to

Disadvantages Disadvantages Oily food, over-attentive waiters and trashy decor

I recently went to the Koh-i-noor for a celebratory dinner and was exceitedly looking forward to it as it is a well-known Indian restaurant in Glasgow and reputedly one of the original (and best?) in Scotland. Koh-i-noor is situated just up from Charing Cross on North Street so faces out over the motorway that runs through the centre of the city. Advantages Advantages Great food; reasonable price; lovely staff

Advantages Advantages Great food, great prices

Disadvantages Disadvantages Too easy to eat too much

For sheer quantity and greed, I have to recommend the Koh-i-Noor on North Street, near the Mitchell Library, just a few minutes walk from the city centre towards the West End of Glasgow. For just £10.99 (£11.99 on Friday and Saturday nights) you can gorge yourself silly on a huge range of buffet food. If you like starters, it's entirely possible to eat nothing but, as they have about 10 different types - and they keep filling up the trays! There are more main courses - vegetarian as well as carinverous - and 2 different types of Naan bread - and a couple of different rices too. Once you've ... more
