Advantages: A long way from Kardemna
Disadvantages: Two weeks is never long enough

...a 2 week holiday in Kos last May (2000) We stayed in Kardamena. In short, it was the best holiday we've ever had! We booked it through Co-Op Travelcare and paid £270 each (inc insurance). I went last year on the 9th of June to celabrate my 21st birthday in style for a two week holiday so I had the last week of mid season and the first week of high season. Between the two weeks of being there, there was a big difference with the amount of people. ...at the Anastasia Aparthotel in Kos town, which is the capital of Kos. We booked our 7 night bed and breakfast holiday with the tour operator First Choice. For an extra £10 each we were able to pre book our seats on the flight from Birmingham which gauranteed that we sat together. ...boyfriend went to Kefalos in Kos this year on our first holiday together. It took us a while to decide if this was where we wanted to go but for the price we couldn't refuse. We paid £179.00 each for a week self catering. We stayed at Kefalos Studios. Our Apartment was very basic, had a shower room, 2 single beds, kitchen and a balcony. Basic but nice. Advantages: Good weather. Plenty of good beaches. Small enough to explore. Friendly locals. ferries available for 'Island Hopping'
Disadvantages: Nightmare Airport. Queues are the norm even for night flights. High season main beaches get very crowded. Limited cuisine. Not for those seeking 4 /5 Star Hotel standards

...then read on. I now Kos , I have an apartment there, (yes are'nt I lucky). For nature lovers. The salt lake between Tigaki and Marmari is a must for early season bird watchers.(May/June) Expect flamingos, herons, bee eaters ,cranes,kingfishers and many more.
