Kos is the 2nd largest of the Dodecanese islands, a mile off the west coast of Turkey. Kardamena is a small fishing village gone mad with raving loonies from Britain. What I reallly liked about the resort was that it had to offer sandy beaches both sides of the village, quite narrow but Very long, you can find the normal big kid toys - jet ski's, water ski's and banana rides that you find all over the Med nowadays. Bars - Kardamena is very laid back ...
...in resort, playing the latest dance tracks and has an open air bar. Point One for a great view of the harbour, Harleys for a party, Bonkers is the bar that thinks it's a club, and Memories is just chaotic. All the clubs play mainstream commercial dance music. Flamingos, Zoom, Status, and Starlight keep Kardamena going until it's light. It is definitely a place for the young. Couples and families are there too but it is predominantly young singles ...

i had a fantastic holiday here this summer. mananged to get a cheap last minute deal from thomas cook a week before departure...2 weeks for £260!! the hotel (cleopatra classic ) was fantastic, the staff were very helpful (apart from the unfriendly maid!). the hotel was situated less than a minutes walk from the beach. the beaches themselves were gorgeous, lots of free sunbeds, warm sea, soft sand and lots of things to do. there are many watersports ...
...as though there was hundreds of restaurants, we were spoilt for choice each night (tip-don't eat at the amazon restaurant, the food was awful). each dinner cost us around just 5 euros each! the nightlife was amazing, with one main street or bars, and then a number of clubs just a short walk away. status was great, playing mainstream music. you should expect to pay around 5 euros for a drink in the bars and clubs. I've been to Kardamena in Kos twice, in consecutive years (a good few years ago) - once with my then boyfriend and the year after with the girls. I wouldn't have chosen to go back to the same place in consecutive years, but the girls had already booked for the year after I'd been, so I just booked on with them. ...and I've got to say kos was many times better! Prices of alcohol were a lot more than expected, but the bars were excelent!! The problem was in the resort I stayed in music had to be stopped by 12:00 unless the bar/ club had sound proofing... only a few did, but it meant that everyone gathered in these places so were heaving with people (which was a good thing!) - I was disappointed by the clubs. They were all pretty small with only a few hundred ...
...we visited it was nearly empty... There wasn't much to do in the days. The beaches were crap, and full of sunbeds which people tried charging you to use.... but turkey was only an hour boat trip away and is well worth a visit. On the whole I would go back there, but a week is more than enough time to do everything you want.... any longer than that it'll start getting dull! ...

Well went for 7 days with a group of friends in May 2003, cost around £200 for the package, there was 10 of us in the party and was my mates stag do, a month before he was getting married. We had an early flight 8am, meaning had to be at manchester for 6am, think we all actually got there about 5.30 and started drinking at that point, i managed to keep up, dont remember much of the flight. Some of the lads had been there before which was an advantage. ...
...the party and all being lads, it was wheres the bar and wheres the fun was my best holiday by far, will always remember it, there was enough bars to keep us going for the 7 nites, however maybe if you do longer you may get a little bored, 7 days was just rite, the atmosphere was great, no 18 year olds fighting, was more the 20/30 bracket which did make the experiance alot better, went to magaluf a year previous and that was a nitemare. any party ...

My visit to Kos was my first ever visit to a mediterranean island. And as I found out, it was soooooo hot. Kos is a very nice island, with great beaches, and considering it's a Greek island it is very very clean. ...greek tavernas.I would say that kos reminded me more of Ibiza than a greek island.During the night,the streets are full of noisy,drunk tourists. The beaches are ok,but i have seen much better, in islands like myconos,crete or syros. It is definitely not a romantic place and it's worth visiting only if you want to spend a week in clubs, being constantly drunk!!! It is really cheap,in every sense... ...

Having been to Kefalos approx 2/3/ times each year it definatly has a want to return facter. We stay in the beautiful Kamari Bay area of Kefalos the people of fantastic, the food is excellent, ands good value for money. The accomodation can be a little basic but very true to Greek style. The hotels are good. The people are the drawing facter, they are fantastic friendly and make you feel at home straight away. The local shop are packed with gifts, ...

...the main bus route into kos town and is close to bubble beach and the water park. the island is only 26 miles long so everything is easily accesiable. kardamena has everything in a very close area shops resturants bars and nightclubs also the village has a huge stretch of beach with loads of watersports FOOD there are enough resturants in kardamena to be able to eat in a different one every night for a month. you can eat greek chinese indian ...
...try some of the smaller resturants off the main drag this is were the greeks eat and they tend to be superb. NIGHTLIFE there is something for everyone in kardamena from lively bars on the main street to the quiet cocktail bars just out of the main town. crackers and 5th avenue play music for all tastes til 12pm which is when all non sound proofed bars shut the music off. then its on to the nightclubs and with so many to choose from you cant go ...
