The way to paradise

Advantages: Great food, great people, plenty to see and do
Disadvantages: Too many people

...we stayed. He chose Kuredu located in the Maldives. Kuredu Island opened on the 27th October 1988 and is located inthe Lhaviyani Atoll in the Maldives which is in the North. Just 1.5km in length and 325m wide mid island it is one of the larger islands offering many activities to keep you busy. In order to get to Kuredu you will need to have a seaplane transfer from Male International Airport, this will ensure that you get to your dream destination ...
...atolls on the way. Kuredu has its own lounge at the seaplane transfer terminal at Male airport which is air conditioned and the beverages are all complimentary. The Island is 6 hours ahead of GMT and 1 hour ahead of Male, we arrived early in the morning and were welcomed onto the Kuredu by the Guest Relations Officer who took us to the Akiri Bar where there was a non alcoholic refreshment waiting for us and we were asked to fill in the registration ...

Kuredu Island Maldives

Advantages: Pure Paradise
Disadvantages: I really can't think of any

...weeks in paradise. We visited Kuredu Island for the last 2 weeks of May 2006 and as i have read many reviews to decide which island to visit this year i felt it time to write my own review on this fantastic island. LOCATION Kuredu island is located in the Lhaviyani Atoll in the North of the Maldives, it is one of the largest islands, we went on the 19th May 2006 for 2 weeks the weather was very hot approx 32(c) and above and the climate is very ...
...The flight by seaplane to Kuredu is about 30 - 40 mins. It is a very small airport but was fairly organised, while waiting we bought a few ice cold drinks and expected to pay quite alot being at an airport but a 500ml bottle of coke was just 1$ which we were surprised at. NOTE :- Sunday seaplane flights do not take your luggage (not sure why) they follow by boat so it is worth packing a light change of clothes in your hand luggage, the first time ...

Do You Kuredu??

Advantages: PARADISE
Disadvantages: The 23 hours and 54 Minute Journey ... door to door

...journey, we are greeted at Kuredu by banging drums - quite novel and a nice touch, but after 2 weeks of hearing the drums bang new arrivals in daily it can get a bit tedious!! . Check in was smooth, no complaints, then we were directed to our room. Wow, an hexagonal pine built villa with four poster bed and an outdoor bathroom!! .. very, very nice THE BASICS....... Kuredu offers a variety of accommodation options but. we decided to upgrade to a ...
...minutes or so to the Kuredu golf Club ( the only golf course in the Maldives) James (the rather hunky golf pro) takes about 30 of us over to the driving range... I know i'm crap at maths but i'm sure they got the measurements wrong... . Anyway we are taught how to hold a golf club correctly, it was a No 8 if I remember rightly, and how to hit a shot. Not so hard after all, and I get to talk to some other golf widows to boot. The next day we sign ...

Kuredu - A Maldivian Paradise

Advantages: Beautiful, plenty to do, friendly, welcoming, paradise
Disadvantages: Not everything is included on all inclusive

Kuredu Island is an ideal location for anyone looking for tranquility and relaxation. It is perfect for celebrating special occasions such as honeymoons, wedding anniversaries or birthdays or simply for visiting if you feel like treating yourself. We went to Kuredu Island for 14 nights for our honeymoon and loved every minute. Kuredu is one of the larger Maldivian islands and is 45 mins from Male by seaplane or 5 hours by boat. I would recommend ...
...jacuzzi beach villas) or the Kuredu island area where the accomodation is beach villas or beach bungalows with beach bungalows being the least luxurious (and are quite basic). We stayed in a beach villa which had an open air bathroom, a large decked area with chairs outside, a fourposter bed and a CD player. We felt that this was the best option for us as: 1. It was not too expensive compared to the jacuzzi villas and the water villas 2. We could ...

Kuredu - It's a lively(ish) Paradise!

Advantages: Large island, plenty of activities
Disadvantages: Size means more people, not such a "get away from it all" feel

Kuredu is situated on the northern reef of the Lhaviyani Atoll. It lies around 80 miles north of the international Airport and the capital of Maldives, Male. The transfer time from the airport is about 40 minutes by seaplane or 4 hours by speed boat. The sea plane transfer is generally an optional extra at around £120 but it is well worth the cost. It is worth noting that if you take the sea plane transfer, your luggage will probably be sent on the ...
...wait for your suitcase. Kuredu is one of the largest tourist island in the Maldives. Its fabulous white beaches total around 3km in length. The island is surrounded by the warm waters of the Indian Ocean, with a lagoon to one side and the reef to the other side. The reef is fantastic for snorkelling or diving. There is a vast array of exotic fish, reef sharks, stingrays, etc. There is a dive centre on the island giving full instruction and providing ...

Kuredu is brilliant!!!

Advantages: A fantastic setting and an incredibly relaxing holiday
Disadvantages: Not a lot to do in the evenings, shop is expensive

My boyfriend and I visited Kuredu Island Resort in May 2005. I didn't really know what to expect as the furthest I had ever gone was Tenerife but I have to say that this holiday was a once ina lifetime trip! We paid about £1000 each for our two week, all inclusive stay in a Baech Bungalow. I've since had a good look and it seems we got a bit of a bargain on this as its not unusual now for it to cost £1500 for the same. We put this down to the Boxing ...
...islands will be destroyed! Kuredu is wonderful. When you get to your room, to be honest, you just collapse as you're so tired but you are soon pushed by curiousity to go and explore! Beware, if you go by sea plane, your luggage will follow you by boat and we saw no end of people walking round on the first day in clothes more suited to a chillly Spring day in Britain so make sure that you pack some clothes. The restaurant is really tasty. I adore ...

Kuredu - Paradise with a capital "P"

Advantages: Unbelieveably breathtakingly beautiful!!!
Disadvantages: Not so "All inclusive" as the words suggest

...family and I went to Kuredu in August 2005. When I say family I mean 10 of us in the whole party with ages ranging from my Son who was 3 months old to my Dad who was 54 years old. We flew to the island from Male on the sea plane which cost us £120 each extra but was well worth it for the views. You couldn't hear a thing for the noise of the plane though. We happened to hit the island at the end of the rainy season and thus our 1st week was sunshine ...
...angel fish were wonderful. Kuredu has a pitch and put golf course and a small driving range with daily competitions. I even had a round as a complete novice and thoroughly enjoyed myself. Again this costs - $5 a round and for the clubs. They also have a small and friendly bar here too. As far as nightly entertainment goes we kept away from it all and spent most of our evenings in the reception bar just drinking and chatting whilst there is the ...

Kuredu Island resort & diving

Advantages: Cheaper than many Maldivean islands. Great diving
Disadvantages: Some accomodation is basic. Livelier

I stayed on Kuredu in October 2005. I chose the seaplane transfer from Male - well worth every penny. It is a fantastic experience - great views and takes about 40 minutes. It is noisy, so take earplugs or pick them up at the seaplane terminus. Kuredu itself is a lovely island. It takes about 50 minutes to walk all the way around and you can extend your walk by walking along a sand spit into the sea - for what seems likes miles at low tide. The ...
...- beds, fan, air conditioning, outdoor shower room. While there is hanging space there are no drawers and hardly any shelves, so take plenty of coat hangers - you'll need to hang up your t-shirts! Food is buffet service unless you pay extra for an a la carte resraurant. There is a wide selection available including freshly cooked meat / fish and pasta dishes. The standard all-inclusive covers drinks by the glass, but not cocktails or bottles of ...

And the Sai Kotari bar, this has not long been open and offers a varity of teas and coffees. This is situated so it has fab sunset views. Shopping; On the ...

PARADISE kuredu Maldives

Advantages: Paradise, every one friendly
Disadvantages: none come to mind

I travelled to Kuredu Island Resort Maldives for two weeks at christmas with my family and i can easily say it was paradise. Travelling there took a long time on the plane but was well worth it. From the capital Male we took the sea plane for about 45 mins,, it was a amazing experiance although very noisy from the engines. When arriving drums where being played as you were welcomed, then were given cocktails (alchohol free for the kids) All through ...

Eating something different for christmas dinner for example pasta or fish. Another meal you can have is to go out and catch your own fish and have them cooked and served on to your own plate! A t the end of the pier is a lovely tea house where they sell the most ...
