Advantages: PARADISE Disadvantages: The 23 hours and 54 Minute Journey ... door to door
...journey, we are greeted at Kuredu by banging drums - quite novel and a nice touch, but after 2 weeks of hearing the drums bang new arrivals in daily it can get a bit tedious!! . Check in was smooth, no complaints, then we were directed to our room. Wow, an hexagonal pine built villa with four poster bed and an outdoor bathroom!! .. very, very nice
THE BASICS.......
Kuredu offers a variety of accommodation options but. we decided to upgrade to ...

Advantages: Beautiful, plenty to do, friendly, welcoming, paradise Disadvantages: Not everything is included on all inclusive
Kuredu Island is an ideal location for anyone looking for tranquility and relaxation. It is perfect for celebrating special occasions such as honeymoons, wedding anniversaries or birthdays or simply for visiting if you feel like treating yourself. We went to Kuredu Island for 14 nights for our honeymoon and loved every minute. Kuredu is one of the larger Maldivian islands and is 45 mins from Male by seaplane or 5 hours by boat. I would recommend taking ...

Advantages: Large island, plenty of activities Disadvantages: Size means more people, not such a "get away from it all" feel
Kuredu is situated on the northern reef of the Lhaviyani Atoll. It lies around 80 miles north of the international Airport and the capital of Maldives, Male. The transfer time from the airport is about 40 minutes by seaplane or 4 hours by speed boat. The sea plane transfer is generally an optional extra at around £120 but it is well worth the cost. It is worth noting that if you take the sea plane transfer, your luggage will probably be sent on the ...

Advantages: A fantastic setting and an incredibly relaxing holiday Disadvantages: Not a lot to do in the evenings, shop is expensive
My boyfriend and I visited Kuredu Island Resort in May 2005. I didn't really know what to expect as the furthest I had ever gone was Tenerife but I have to say that this holiday was a once ina lifetime trip!
We paid about £1000 each for our two week, all inclusive stay in a Baech Bungalow. I've since had a good look and it seems we got a bit of a bargain on this as its not unusual now for it to cost £1500 for the same. We put this down to the Boxing ...

Advantages: Unbelieveably breathtakingly beautiful!!! Disadvantages: Not so "All inclusive" as the words suggest
...family and I went to Kuredu in August 2005. When I say family I mean 10 of us in the whole party with ages ranging from my Son who was 3 months old to my Dad who was 54 years old.
We flew to the island from Male on the sea plane which cost us £120 each extra but was well worth it for the views. You couldn't hear a thing for the noise of the plane though.
We happened to hit the island at the end of the rainy season and thus our 1st week was sunshine ...

Advantages: Cheaper than many Maldivean islands. Great diving Disadvantages: Some accomodation is basic. Livelier
I stayed on Kuredu in October 2005. I chose the seaplane transfer from Male - well worth every penny. It is a fantastic experience - great views and takes about 40 minutes. It is noisy, so take earplugs or pick them up at the seaplane terminus.
Kuredu itself is a lovely island. It takes about 50 minutes to walk all the way around and you can extend your walk by walking along a sand spit into the sea - for what seems likes miles at low tide.
The ...

...split into two areas the Kuredu island and Sangu.
Sanguers have their own dedicated areas such as exclusive bar, restaurant and reception, but can also use all other facilities and bars.
Accommodation:
There are 4 different types of accommodation on the island these are the water villas, jacuzzi villas, these are more expensive and classed as part of Sangu and beach villas and beach bungalows.
We stayed in a water villa and I can say they ...

Advantages: Paradise, every one friendly Disadvantages: none come to mind
I travelled to Kuredu Island Resort Maldives for two weeks at christmas with my family and i can easily say it was paradise. Travelling there took a long time on the plane but was well worth it. From the capital Male we took the sea plane for about 45 mins,, it was a amazing experiance although very noisy from the engines. When arriving drums where being played as you were welcomed, then were given cocktails (alchohol free for the kids) All through ...
